Friendship Tea Gift In A Jar

Updated on March 21, 2013

A Gift Full of Warmth and Goodness

Friendship Tea makes a thoughtful and economical gift, and anyone can put together these simple gifts in a jar. Just follow the recipe provided, and if you want to dress it up you can browse the ideas for gift tags and jar embellishments.

Making Tea at Our House

Recipe For Friendship Tea

This recipe makes six cups of the tea mix and one cup of mix makes eight servings. I usually use the 1/2 pint mason jars in which a cup fits nicely.

1-1/2 cups Instant Unsweetened Tea

1-1/2 cups Instant Lemonade Mix

2-1/2 cups Instant Orange Drink Mix

1/2 cup Sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground allspice

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

What's Next?

Pour all ingredients into a large bowl, and whisk together until thoroughly combined. A funnel works well to measure one cup of mix per jar

Add 2 heaping spoonfuls of mix per one cup of hot water and stir.

"As you sip this Friendship Tea,

Know that warm thoughts

are being sent to You from Me."

Other Ideas for Your Gift Tags ...

"Like sunshine in the morning, may this brighten up your day.

And remind you I'm thinking of you, in a warm and special way."

Teatime Blessing

"Lord, grant that our time together be steeped in serenity,

sweetened by sharing, and surrounded by the warm fragrance of your love. Amen."

"You're just my cup of tea;

thanks for your friendship!"

Begin with a jar ...

These are just slightly over $1.00 each and qualify for free shipping with a $25.00 purchase.

Top This

Terrific toppers make all the difference in Gifts In A Jar. A simple circle of fabric is really all you need. Place the upside down jar onto the fabric and trace the circle two to three inches larger all around to allow for overlapping the neck of the jar and a bit hanging beneath the band for decoration. For a puffy top, put a small handful of cotton batting (or cotton balls) on top of the metal lid and under the fabric round. Add any ribbon or fiber for the finishing touch.

Join me in a sip of tea? - please say hello ...
