How to Make a Watermelon Keg

Have you ever wondered how to make a watermelon into a keg? You'll need an oval watermelon, a good kitchen knife, an apple corer and a spigot.

  • Start with a clean and dry watermelon
  • Trim about 1/4" to 1/2" off the bottom so the watermelon sits flat (vertically).
  • Cut the top side of the watermelon off so you can scoop out the flesh. Use a spoon or scoop tool. Leave some flesh toward the front of the watermelon so it will hold the spigot.
  • Cut a circle for the spigot. Use an apple corer to do this is you have one.
  • Put the spigot in place.
  • Fill with your beverage of choice.
