10 Best Girly Shots of All Time

Updated on July 27, 2015

Girls Night Out!

Whether you are going out with the girls to celebrate a 21st birthday, bachelorette party, or you’re catching a break from the kids, this is your time to get tipsy and let loose! There’s a right way to do everything though, and your first step to having a great night is to get a designated driver so that you are all safe! Arrange a cab ride if you have to.

Have a safe ride secured for the night? Great! That means it will be time for shots after shots after shots, right?! Rather than ordering your usual shot of whiskey or tequila, step outside of your comfort zone and order some girly shots! Order rounds for the ladies with you on this fun night out and it will certainly be one you’ll never forget! (Or will you?)

...Anyway, moving onto the list of girly shots that you must try! Even if you are having a party at home, you can make these!

Girly Shot Recipes

Keep in mind that these recipes (obviously) only contain the serving amounts for a single shot, so what you will essentially do for a group of people is multiply the ingredients needed by the amount of shots you are making.

Kamikaze: 1 oz each of Vodka, Triple Sec, and Lime Juice. Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass!

Starry Night: 1.5 oz each of Goldschlager and Jagermeister. Put ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass!

Redheaded Slut: 1 oz Jagermeister, 1 oz of Peach Schnapps, splash of cranberry juice. Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass!

Cherry Cheesecake: 2 oz Vanilla Liqueur, 1 oz Jagermeister, ½ oz Cranberry Juice. Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass!

Scooby Snack: ½ oz each of Malibu Coconut Rum, Creme de Bananas, Midori Melon Liqueur, and Pineapple Juice. Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!

Bailey’s Birthday Cake: 1 oz Bailey’s Vanilla Cinnamon Irish Cream, ½ oz Smirnoff Iced Cake Vodka, Whipped cream and sprinkles. Put Bailey’s and Vodka in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles. Serve!

Chocolate Cake: ½ oz each of Vodka and Hazelnut Liqueur, lemon and sugar. Put Vodka and Hazelnut Liqueur a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass. Coat lemon wedge in sugar and garnish glass to serve!

Gummy Bear: ½ oz Cherry Vodka, ½ oz Peach Schnapps, Splash of Pineapple Juice, Splash of Sprite. Put Vodka and Schnapps in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass. Add your Pineapple Juice and Sprite and enjoy!

Buttery Nipple: 1 oz Butterscotch Schnapps, ½ oz Bailey’s Irish cream. Pour Buttershots into shot glass and top with Irish Cream, enjoy!

Purple Hooter: ½ oz each of Vodka, Raspberry Liqueur, and Sour Mix. Splash of Sprite. Put Vodka, Raspberry Liqueur, and Sour Mix in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour into shot glass. Add Sprite and serve!

Jello Shot Recipe

Make your shots extra fun and sweet by turning them into irresistibly sweet jello shots you and your girlfriends will love! To get started, all you need is one box of your favorite JELL-O mix, 1 cup of boiling water, and 1 cup of ice cold vodka or rum.

  1. Empty the Jell-O pouch into the big bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of boiling water. Stir vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved.
  3. Add 1 cup of ice cold alcohol and mix well again.
  4. Pour into 2 oz plastic jello shot cups and store in the fridge for 4 hours before devouring!

Note: The colder your alcohol is, the better the result. I think this has to do with the activation of the gelatin. Personally, when possible, I keep the bottle of alcohol in the freezer for several days before making my shots. Don't believe the skeptics: the bottle won't blow up!!

Chocolate Shot Glass Intructions

Serve up your delicious shots in shot glasses that are delicious themselves! Chocolate shot glasses would taste great with many of these recipes, and what girl doesn’t love chocolate? Here’s how to make ‘em!

  1. Purchase chocolate melts, disposable decorating bags, and a silicon shot glass mold.
  2. Melt down the chocolate melts inside of the decorating bags.
  3. Fill molds to the top, tapping down to remove air bubbles and evenly distribute the chocolate.
  4. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, remove from molds and voila!

Pretty easy, right? And the best thing about owning a shotglass mold is that it will come in handy for many other different edible shot glasses, whether it be candy corn ones for Halloween (made just like the chocolate ones, but by layering white, orange, and yellow), or even just ice cube shot glasses!

Oh, and whatever you do, don’t let the term “girly shots” confuse you, because even though they are colorful and sweet like your lady friends, they will knock you down just as hard as any other! The only thing truly “girly” about them is their appearance, so be sure to proceed with caution!
