How to Make Granny's Meatloaf Recipe

Some of the best foods you can find to make are those just like Granny use to make, they are scrumptious, and can bring a smile to anyone's face.

There are various types of meatloaf, a recipe for meatloaf as well as any other recipe may, will and can vary from one individual, family and culture to another. Most often meatloaf refers to a dish composed of various items, while the main ingredient is that of beef. However, meat can and will vary as mentioned above concerning meatloaf recipes. Meatloaf is a smorgasbord of ingredients that have been thrown together in order fill the need of hunger as well as depends on the ingredients one may have on hand at the time that will be filling as a loaf of meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 -cup tomato juice
  • 3/4 cup uncooked oatmeal
  • 1 egg - beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit in order to achieve an all over heating in your oven for baking. Remember, preheating is an essential step in the process of baking.
  2. 2 Combine all ingredients for making the meatloaf just like Granny -
  3. 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  4. 1-cup tomato juice
  5. 3/4 cup uncooked oatmeal
  6. 1 egg - beaten
  7. 1/4 cup chopped onion
  8. Salt & pepper to taste.
  9. 3 Mix all the ingredients above until they are mixed well.
  10. It may be a little messy for a mixture, but it's worth the time and effort!
  11. 4 Press the mixture firmly into un-greased loaf pan and then place in the oven. Since you preheated your oven to 350 degrees the oven is hot and awaiting the delicious meatloaf you are making.
  12. 5 Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  13. When you take it out allow it to stand, 5 minutes, before slicing.
