Spinach Smoothie Recipe in a Blender - Ingredients

  • 15-20 leaves of Raw Spinach
  • 1 whole Green Apple, sliced
  • 2 whole Kiwi, sliced
  • 2 whole Banana, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons of Raw Oatmeal, (uncooked)
  • 4-5 ounces of 100% orange juice

Recipe Instructions

  1. Slice 1 green apple, 2 bananas, and 2 kiwi before putting them in the blender.
  2. Pour 2 ounces of 100% orange juice, and then put 15-20 leaves of spinach in the blender. Add all the sliced ingredients into the blender.
  3. Now add 3 tablespoons of raw oats into the blender. Begin to blend all the ingredients on “chopped” high speed in the blender for about 5- 7 seconds. Now blend on “puree” until the smoothie is liquified (about 4 seconds on puree setting).
  4. Now your "Green Juice Smoothie" is complete and can serve about 3 cups.

Raw oats are safe to eat, especially in a green juice smoothie. Oats contain protein, iron, Vitamin C, and calcium. Mainly, oats are very high in fiber which can keep your colon cleansed, depending on how much oats you eat daily. A great way to eat raw oats is in a green juice smoothie; usually add about 3 tablespoons of oats to this smoothie.

Smoothies may taste better when chilled in the fridge or straight out of the blender. People that are in the process of losing weight may just only drink green juice smoothies. And some people may drink healthy smoothies in between meals that they eat. Which means the more healthy smoothies you drink during the day, the less you would want to eat food. It's better to eat food in small portions to prevent from over eating and stretching the stomach out, to avoid health problems and unnecessary weight gain.
