Dean Martin's Hamburger Recipe

Updated on December 10, 2012

2 Ingredient Easy Burger Recipe--No Joke!

Bet ya did not know that Dean Martin had his own special hamburger recipe. Well he did and it is a classic.

I first learned of this 2 ingredient recipe for ground beef while browsing the SUNfiltered blog from the Sundance Channel. Unfortunately, I am old enough to know who Dean Martin was. Fortunately, I knew what to expect when I clicked on the blog title "Dean Martin's Hamburger Recipe".

For those of you who might be younger than myself, Dean Martin was an entertainer who is probably best known for being a member of Frank Sinatra's "The Rat Pack". I know, you have never heard of "The Rat Pack". Ho-hum, just keep on scrolling--and, no, you will not find this pack in BonTemps hanging at Merlotte's. If I have to tell you about those two places, then I have to ask you what rock you have been hiding under?

Juicy Hamburgers--Yes, I am carnivorous! Love my red meat, sorry to my veggie friends. I must admit, that a low calorie burger is a great idea, but I tend to over do it in the condiment arena. I love mayonnaise!

Dean Martin Was More than just a HAMburger!

Mr. Martin will most be remembered for crooning, smoking and drinking bourbon. I remember him being a wonderful comedic actor in movies that came out in the 50's and 60's. He was in the original "Ocean's Eleven".

My recipe has three: lean ground beef, Montreal Steak Seasoning, and chardonnay.

@kerryhrabstock: Red or white wine? I am glad you made that statement about Dino not being a drinker.

I kind of have similar recipes with wine instead of bourbon. And if you're old enough to know who Dean is, like me, you know he wasn't really a drinker at all.
