bread-aalo tikki

Bread is such kind of food which is usually available in our house. We can eat it in different ways by making sandwiches, toast, bread upma, bread pizza etc.

Today I am sharing a recipe called as Bread Aalo tikki which can be made by fresh or leftover bread. It can be made during morning breakfast, evening snacks or can be served when we have guests at our place. Its one of the easy to make snacks. And its specially for the indians who reside abroad because indians residing abroad face many difficulties in finding indian snacks specially who love fried stuff or chat etc and if they try this recipe at home I am sure they would love it.

Bread Aloo tikki:

Ingrediants :

4-5 medium size potatoes

7-8 bread slices

3-4 Garlic cloves

1 inch ginger

Salt to taste

2 Green chillies

1 stick curry leaves

Coriander leaves

1/2tsp red chilli powder

1/3 tsp Garam Masala powder

Boil and peel the potatoes. Make bread crumbs of all the slices. Chop green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves and keep it aside. Make ginger garlic paste.

Now mash the potatoes, mix bread crumbs, chopped chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste ,salt, red chili powder and garam masala powder gently with the mashed potatoes.

Once the mixture is ready, make small balls of the same,Press them gently with the palm in a tikki shape n deep fry till it becomes light brown in colour.

Serve it hot with Pudina / imly chutney or tomato ketchup.
