My Favorite Hummus Recipes
Whether they're called garbanzos or chickpeas, they still make a tasty dip. Hummus has exploded in popularity in the United States in the last twenty years. And for good reason. It's full of fiber and minerals, and it tastes wonderful. I can almost taste that garlic, the hint of lemon....hmmmm.
I've collected some of my favorite hummus recipes for you. Hummus lends itself to improvization, and there are plenty of yummy recipes for you to try. I hope you enjoy them.

Basic Hummus Recipe

1 can (14 ounce) garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1/3 cup tahini sesame paste (Paste of ground sesame seeds, easily found in your local grocery store)
1/2 cup flat parsley leaves, chopped
1-6 garlic clove, chopped (depends how much you like garlic)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
salt & pepper, to taste
Place garbanzo beans, tahini, parsley, garlic and lemon juice in food processor. Process until ingredients are well incorporated and mixture is smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust lemon juice and olive oil, if desired.
