I’ll Drink to That - Beverage Day May 6th
Let's raise a toast to National Beverage Day
I just love silly celebrations and thanks to Squidoo I can share them with happy readers like yourself and your friends. If you get a chuckle or two as we delve into our celebration please send a LIKE my way, whichever kind you wish is fine I'm not choosy.
There are many silly, crazy celebrations in May, there's "no socks day", "limerick day", "leprechaun day", and one that piqued my interest "borderline personality disorder month" but I'm sort of "on-edge" about that one. I thought so many celebrations, how would I decide?
Got it!
A secret for writing engaging content is to write about something you know, so I thought heck I know about Beverages, even my audience knows about Beverages therefore pulled from the well is Beverage Day, May 6th. Let the juices flow -

A Brief History of Beverage Day
Beverage Day is a unique holiday always celebrated on May 6th at least in the States. Oddly its origin is pretty much a secret but I have an inclination that many are not aware of Beverage Day because it is overshadowed by Cinco de Mayo May 5th. Imbibing in your favorite Mexican beverage on May 5th is a popular activity and one that could leave you dehydrated and sleeping late on May 6th so if you get up thirsty head to your local Arby's fast food joint to celebrate National Beverage Day as rumor has it you can get a free beverage by saying "I'm parched, FruiTea me." See the adjacent ad for complete details.
A truly brief history indeed, essentially not much to say here, in fact I came up pretty dry and feel somewhat parched so let's grab our favorite beverages and, no wait, don't go . . . .

Bring on the Beverage Day Celebration Ideas
At this time Beverage Day is not a legal holiday but I'm pretty sure someone in congress is lobbying to make it one. If you are in support please write your local congress person and get back to us on the developments.
Until then, the great thing is you can celebrate National Beverage Day anywhere, in any manner you choose, and with anyone you choose. You can even select your own theme and celebration attire. Accordingly I offer a few suggestions

Beverage Day Celebrations with Coffee
Starbucks Coffee headquarters call home in my part of the country yet I am not much of a Coffee drinker and therefore not one of their regulars. Being that I am in the minority get your Beverage Day Celebration percolating with these great items.
