This is for those of you who’ll like to learn how to prepare a Nigerian delicacy. As we all know Nigeria is a country in the western part of Africa and it has over five hundred languages and each of this tribes have a special kind of food they prepare as their cultural delicacy.

Iribotoh is a very simple Nigerian delicacy (soup), it is prepared mostly by the urhobo people located in the southern part of the country. This soup is mostly prepared whenever there is an emergency, that is in situations where by there is no much time to prepare food whenever one is seriously hungry. It is one of the simplest soup prepared in Nigeria. It takes only just about 10mins to prepare this delicacy.


To prepare iribotoh you’ll need the following ingredients:

1. Salt

2. Maggi

3. Fish

4. Spices

5. Water

Now with all this in place all you have to do is put a little warm water in a bowl, smoke the fish on the fire a little, then put the smoked fish into the water and then add the about two maggi cubes, add a little spice and a little salt to the water, stir it and that all. The soup is ready...

Iribotoh soup is best served with eba. It can also be eaten with pounded yam, or even semolina.
