Grasshopper Pie Recipe

I like to make something different every year because I like to cook and make unique sweets so this year I have decided to make this grasshopper pie recipe which is a quick and easy pie to make and it is a favorite dessert at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and any other holidays and I will enjoy sharing with everyone for It is so yummy.

Cook time: 15 min
Ready in: 30 min
Yields: 4-8 pie servings

Ingredients

  • 14 oreos cream filled chocolate cookies
  • 24 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 tablespoons Green Creme De Menthe
  • 2 tablespoons White Creme De Menthe

Instructions

  1. Crush the oreos cream filled chocolate cookies and take the 2 tablespoons melted butter and mix it and then press the mixture in a 9 inch pie plate to form a crust.
  2. Melt the 14 marshmallows with the 1/2 cup milk in a saucepan and then let it cool.
  3. Add the 1 cup of whipped cream to the marshmallow mixture.
  4. Then add the 4 tablespoons of Green Creme De Menthe and add the 2 tablespoons of White Creme De Menthe and mix thoroughly and well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the pie plate crust and then put it in the freezer for 2 or 3 hours.
  6. Then serve this pie with whip cream or any topping that you prefer to put on top of it.

      Wow, the name should put people off, but once you see all the wonderful, yummy, sweet ingredients and the finished grasshopper pie it is hard not to want a piece. I am thankful that there are no actual grasshoppers in this pie though, but if there were there is no way in Hades I would be eating any of it...lol
