So Easy Lemon Pie Recipe

Updated on September 22, 2014

A Delicious Lemon Pie

Lemon Pie is one of the easiest homemade pies that I have ever made. It only requires a few ingredients to make this delicious pie and only a few minutes to assemble, which is why I love it.

This is a "keeper" recipe that I use over and over again. The instructions are so easy and it can be made in one bowl. Lemon Pie requires little effort and minimal clean-up time. While the pie is baking and then chilling in the refrigerator, you will be free to do other things like enjoying a cup of tea. The ingredients are quite easy to find and most are items that you will have on hand anyway.

Lemon Pie is also very easy to change with variations which give the pie new flavor and texture. This is one of the easiest all-around pies I have ever made!

Ingredients for Lemon Pie

-1 8-9 inch graham cracker crust or pre-baked pastry crust

-2 large egg yolks

-1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)

-1/3 cup lemon juice, fresh preferred

-12 oz. whipped cream or whipped topping

Easy Directions

Serves 8

Preheat oven 350F.

Combine egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk.

Mix in lemon juice until mixture is smooth .

Pour into graham crust. Bake 25-30 minutes.

Cool and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

Spread whipped cream on top or serve on side.

Lemon Pie is a great

"make ahead" dessert

Very easy lemon pie. I have a French recipe with a lot of eggs which I don't make any more because I am afraid of cholesterol... Lemon Meringue is also a pie that I like so I will keep both of them for summer desserts! Thanks a lot:=)

I love lemon pie, my Mom makes the most amazing ones. The first time I ever attempted it I bought a shop packet one thinking that I coluldn't get it wrong, with th intention of developing it until I made it all from scratch.

As I was making the lemon part I found a small pastic ball in it and as that is never good took it out and threw it away. Once cooked (and it looked lovely) only then did I realise that would be the lemon flavouring, my family were trying to be kind but couldn't eat it, at least I was only 14 at the time!

I have made lovely ones since but am going to follow you recipe and try that!

The great thing about lemon pie is I am the only one in the family that likes it, so when I make one I get it all to myself. Well, maybe that isn't so great...

I used to make lemon pie with a mix out of a box until I had a homemade one. Would never go back to that again! This recipe sounds so easy and delicious.
