The addition of pure maple syrup to the original Rice Krispies recipe takes these treats to a whole new level. And well, everything tastes better when dipped in a yummy sauce!

  2. Add the marshmallows and maple syrup.
  3. Microwave in 30 second intervals until the marshmallows are melted. Or melt the marshmallows over low heat on the stove, stirring constantly.
  4. Mix really well.
  5. Add the Rice Krispies Cereal and stir gently until combined.
  6. Pour into the greased pan and pat down.

  9. While they are cooling, make the caramel sauce.
  10. In a saucepan over medium high heat, combine the butter, sugar and salt. Stir continuously until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes.
  11. Lower the temperature to medium low and add the maple syrup. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce becomes thick and smooth.
  12. Pour into jars and allow to cool.
  13. Dip the Maple Rice Krispies Treats into the Caramel Sauce for an extra sweet delight!
