      I love it in Hungarian style ... with chicken paprika stew or simply with some liver pate on a slice of bread ...I come from an area where fantastic pickles are made at homes and at factories as well ...

      2 cups cider vinegar

      1-1/2 cups sugar

      1/2 tsp turmeric

      1/4 tsp cloves

      2 tsp mustard seed

      2 tsp celery seed

      1/4 tsp ground ginger

      1 tsp salt

      Directions:

Bring back to a boil, add sliced onion, and cook for 1 minute. Add the zucchini slices, bring to a full boil, and cook for just 2 minutes, stirring to push the slices under the liquid. Remove from the heat and let cool. Place small containers, cover and store in the refrigerator. Serve ice cold.

      My Pickle Car

      My car is constructed of pickles.

      It's wonderfully crunchy and sweet.

      If ever I'm hungry while driving

      I pull off a pickle to eat.

      The engine is made out of gherkins.

      The dashboard's an extra-large dill.

      The windows and wipers are kosher

      as well as the bumpers and grille.

      The hood's made of hamburger slices.

      The gas tank is brimming with brine.

      The doors are delectably salty.

      The stickshift is simply divine.

      There's one little problem I'm having.

      I'm sure you would know what I mean

      if ever you saw this contraption;

      my marvelous pickle machine.

      I guess I've included my auto

      in just a few too many meals

      and now it won't budge when I start it;

      it seems I have eaten the wheels.
