Pineapple Daiquiri Sundae
This dessert is cooked in a slow cooker for several hours this method helps bring out the flavors in the toppings.
Making ice cream sundae's is some thing I really love to do but with this recipe I put a twist on it that will make all adults wanting it more and more.............and more
To make this sundae you need;
1 pineapple, cored, peeled, and cut into1/2 inch chunks
1/2 cup of dark rum
1/2 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of lime juice
The peel of 2 limes, cut in to long strands
1 Tablespoon of cornstarch or arrowroot
Place all ingredients in a slow cooker; mix well, Cover; cook on HIGH 3 to 4 hours serve hot over ice cream, pound cake or shortcakes garhish with a few fresh raspberries and mint leaves, if desired.
Variation; Substitute 1 can ( 20 ounces ) crushed pineapple, drained for fresh pineapple. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
