Tembleque Is Holiday Dish In Puerto Rico

During Christmas time in Puerto Rico, tembleque is the #1 thing people make as dessert. Everyone in my family knows how to make Tembleque and I don't think I know anyone that doesn't like Tembleque.

In my family we always make Tembleque de Coco for Christmas and sometimes during any time of the year. This dish goes by very fast at parties or get together.

How Do You Eat Tembleque?

I love Tembleque Hot Out Of The Saucepan

When I was a little girl my grandmother used to make Tembleque de Coco and she would save a hot plate for me because she know I love to eat it while it was hot. I sprinkle cinnamon on top and yumm!

Tembleque is supposed do be eaten cold, but I love it while it's hot. I don't mind eating it cold too.

Taste was on, consistency off, I guess got to put 1/2 or 2/3 instead 1/3 corn starch.

I have never heard of this before. I live on a small farm in Brazil where we grow coconuts, alas I am unable to find coconut creme! I will try this with a slight variation. I love traditional recipes such as this. It looks like the problem of dessert this evening is solved! Thank you to you and your friend for sharing this with us.
