How To Make Gingerbread Cake

Moist Gingerbread Cake Recipe

As with any cake, you will need to preheat your oven. This recipe calls for the oven to be preheated to 350 degrees.

While the oven is heating up, spray or grease and flour your 9-inch square pan.

Start off with two bowls, a large bowl for the wet ingredients, and a medium sized bowl for the dry ingredients.

In the large bowl add the shortening and sugar, then cream together. Then add the egg, water, and molasses and stir until smooth, and set aside.

In the medium sized bowl add all of your dry ingredients and stir together until you have a smooth batter.

Pour the gingerbread cake batter into the greased pan and bake for 45 minutes.

When done you should have a delicious Gingerbread Cake ready to eat, and a kitchen full of wonderful gingerbread aroma!
