The Legend of Sephra

Or: The origins of the chocolate fountain

Although Sephra has only been selling chocolate fountains since 2003, according to legend they have been round since Montezuma's time! In his day, there was a gorgeous goddess, Sephra. Montezuma admired her so much that he built a temple for her. In the temple were huge fountains surrounded by precious cocoa beans.

One night Sephra appeared to Montezuma in a dream. When he woke up, he discovered the water fountain had turned into the very first chocolate fountain! And as they say, the rest is history!

How to choose what chocolate to buy

The better quality chocolate you use, the better the result will be. Use cheap grocery store chocolate - and it will taste like cheap grocery store chocolate. You need good quality containing a large amount of cocoa butter to produce a rich creamy flow. Flavored chocolate brings an interesting twist to the idea, but obviously any chocolate with bits in it (eg nuts) is not going to work.

Foods to use for dipping

Here are some ideas of food that taste great when smothered in chocolate.

  • Angel Food Cake
  • Strawberries
  • Bananas
  • Marshmallows
  • Apples
  • Pretzels
  • Pears

Another great reason to invest in a Chocolate Fountain

I am one of those people who thinks long and hard before buying a luxury item, even one as inexpensive as a home chocolate fountain. If you are like me and need some extra justification for spending the money, there is a way you can actually turn a profit from a chocolate fountain.

What am I talking about?

Renting your chocolate fountain out!

If you pay $100 for your appliance, rent it out for $20 and you have covered the cost after 5 rentals. Everything after that is profit.

This could make a great little business for college students to run. You may need to charge a little less, but I think this could be a great way for students to celebrate birthdays, end of exams and anything else in a special way.

Sephra Fountains on eBay

eBay may have a Sephra fountain at a really good price, so take a look at what is available. Be sure to add in shipping costs when comparing with Amazon's price.

Fountain Chocolate on eBay

eBay also has the chocolate you need - compare prices to Amazon and other online retailers but you may find a great deal. Remember: the better the quality, the better the taste!

Why choose the Sephra brand?

Sephra prides itself on setting the standard for the industry. They take care over the quality and provide features lacking from other manufactures.

One important thing to note is all their fountains come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. So you don't have to worry that you could be wasting your money on inferior product.

Sephra fountains are extremely easy to assemble. Just put each tier on top of the other and you are ready to go. It couldn't be simpler.

Convinced yet? With this brand you get quality, simplicity of use and peace of mind that if something breaks you can get it fixed.

You really can't go too far wrong. And if you decide this appliance isn't for you - you can easily resell it on Craigslist or eBay and that way you won't lose much of your money
