A Great Party Drink

Over the years, I have served this Sherbet Punch at bridal showers, baby showers, graduation parties, Halloween parties, luncheons, teas, etc. and guests always ask for the recipe.

It isn't always easy to plan a menu for so many different people with varying tastes. However, there is one punch that is always a hit.

Sherbet punch is by far the most requested party drink and it is so easy to make, that I always hate to reveal my recipe. No one can believe that it is so simple and requires so few ingredients to create such a delightful refreshment.

Sherbet Is Available in Several Different Flavors and Colors

The Punch Bowl I Use for My Sherbet Punch

Crystalware Maryland Plastics Large Punch Bowl, 12 quart, Clear
Crystalware Maryland Plastics Large Punch Bowl, 12 quart, Clear

I frequently prefer to use this style of crystal replica punch bowl. Compared to real crystal, it is inexpensive, light weight and is not easily broken. It is also easily replaceable.

Sounds like the punch I grew up on in our church, except they used 7 UP and grapefruit juice. It's something that goes with everything.

This Sherbet is great if you have never tried it. We use it at summer parties all the time and it is gone before the sherbet melts into the soda. Very refreshing! Spike it up with some Vodka and the adults will love it!

The addition of sherbet and ginger-ale to any punch is always a pleaser but because I don't drink soda I never thought to use just these two simple ingredients to make a sherbet punch. I will have to come back as there are so many links I just didn't have time to visit them all.

I love punch and punch bowls - I make a similar punch, but we use a mixture of orange and lemon-lime soda, or strawberry soda. I especially enjoy getting to set up and use my punch bowls - I've got 3 now that are from the 50's, and sit on pedestals - they look amazing when they are full of punch. I enjoyed this lens a lot.

@VSP: Now that you mention it, it seems like I remember someone telling me they tried Sprite. I would bet either of the Sprite or the lemon lime soda would add a zing to the punch :) Might be fun!
