A Delicious Pasta Salad Recipe

Shrimp and Pasta Salad is one of my favorite recipes of all time. I make it frequently, especially during the summer months and the winter holidays. This delicious salad is always a big hit with family and friends.

There is a secret ingredient in this shrimp and pasta salad which makes it stand out above the rest. It is so good that you cannot substitute anything for it. Sometimes this ingredient is not readily available in certain areas and may have to be ordered. Let me tell you though, it is worth it and one container lasts a long time. This pasta salad with shrimp would not be the same without it.

The secret ingredient is Old Bay Seasoning. One container lasts a long time for Shrimp and Pasta Salad and so many other seafood recipes, even fried chicken.

I love Old Bay. My kitchen is never without it. Having grown up on Maryland crabs, Old Bay was used as often as salt and pepper.

I love seafood - especially shellfish - and pasta. I combine the two all the time. After reading this post, I'll have to make better use of Old Bay. I do use it when boiling crabs and shrimp. It also works well as a dip if you want to cut back on butter.

We love shrimps and often eat it, especially while spending our long summers at our summer house on the Croatian coast. We have a friend who lives there and has a big fishing boat so we get all the see food fresh whenever he has some. And shrimps are there too:) Great recipes you have here, thanks.

@Wednesday-Elf: Thank you for your wonderful compliments. They are greatly appreciated! In Maryland, Old Bay is a staple seasoning. It's not only used on seafood (steamed crabs mostly) but also on french fires and potato chips!

Very nice. One of my family's favorites has always been macaroni salad. A few years ago we were invited to a picnic where the hostess had made macaroni salad with shrimp. Once I began to use shrimp, my family insisted on having macaroni salad that way always.

I've never tried using Old Bay Seasoning, but bet it gives it a delicious flavor. I lived on the Georgia/South Carolina coast for several years where a 'Low Country Boil' is a standard fare. The shrimp part of the dish is always 'dusted' (liberally) with Old Bay Seasoning.

You have a wonderful layout on this page. Very attractive and readable. Thanks for the recipes.
