The spices will be lost when soaking the beans.)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry black beans
  • 1 cup dry white beans
  • 1 cup dry kidney beans
  • 2 teaspoons dried pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 teaspoons dried onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  8. Add tomatoes and seasoning packet from jar.
  9. Stir occasionally, cover, and simmer another 30 minutes. Continue to simmer uncovered about 1 hour longer or until beans are tender and soup thickens. Serve warm.
