A Recipe for Sour Broccoli
I found this recipe for sour broccoli in an old church cookbook and was delighted to find it fits beautifully with the Wahls diet. I immediately wanted to add it here at Squidoo for my collection of Wahls Diet recipes. This is a delicious, tart way to eat broccoli and I think you will enjoy it.
I do not know the history of this recipe. It was submitted to the cookbook of international recipes by a lady named Alice Metry. The ethnicity of Ms. Metry's recipes is not noted, but the dish is clearly Middle Eastern in origin.
I found this sour broccoli recipe in the cookbook of St. Michael Orthodox Church in Louisville, Kentucky, published in 1991.

Sour Broccoli Recipe
This is a very easy recipe for sour broccoli.
- 1 bunch organic broccoli

- 1. Wash the broccoli and steam 10 minutes or until tender.
- 2. While broccoli is cooking, process the garlic and salt in a food processor using the steel blades. Then, with the processor still running, add the oil and process. Then add the lemon juice and continue to process.
