Stainless Steel Electric Griddle - Clean, Attractive, and Safe!

Updated on September 16, 2014

Stainless Steel Electric Griddle - Good Looking and Effective!

The stainless steel electric griddle is definitely an appliance that you can use a lot. At our house, we use ours all the time! It makes it easy to make bacon, pancakes, and any number of one dish skillet meals. And during the summer, it definitely saves on air conditioning costs, as the griddle doesn't heat up the house as much as using the oven will.

You may want to choose a stainless steel electric griddle for a few different reasons. The stainless steel surface may be healthier than chemically treated non stick options. This material is also often considered a better quality. But for us, it matches our appliances, which is something I personally love!

I wanted to share some of the great stainless steel griddles I've found, so that you can find one you'll love as well! You can use the table of contents below to skip to a style of skillet that interests you.

The Best Stainless Steel Electric Griddle?

So which brand makes the best stainless steel electric griddle? It's really up to debate. There are a lot of good options out there, with a lot of great reviews. So for this part of the lens, I wanted to list the top six griddles with the best reviews over on Amazon. See if any of them appeal to you!

I personally love the Broil King electric griddle. The stainless steel cooking surface is great to cook on. And there are no additives to your food from a teflon coating.

You can find the Broil King PCG-10 on Amazon here.

All Clad Stainless Steel Griddle

Certainly one of the most popular electric griddles, the All Clad Stainless Steel Griddle is one of the best. It consistently gets good reviews.

With an extra large cooking surface, it has two independent heat sources allowing you to cook more than one thing at a time. The stainless steel riveting allows for easy handling and durability. It also has a drip tray drawer and stainless steel splatter guard to allow for easy clean up.

The new version does not have a teflon surface, even if it may look like it does from the picture. Instead, it has a hard, anodized surface that allows you to cook without food sticking. You cannot use metal utensils on this model as it will scratch, but there are great plastic heat resistant plastic spatulas out there.

You can find this griddle here.

Stainless Steel Electric Skillet

So what's the difference between a stainless steel electric skillet and a stainless steel electric griddle? The simple difference is that the skillet has sides, while the griddle does not. If you only have room for one, you may want to get an electric skillet. It can make larger one dish meals without heating up the stove. However, the griddle can make more at a time if you are cooking pancakes or bacon.

I like to use my skillet for making chicken and rice dishes, as well as stirfry. The Presto version is all stainless steel with no teflon coating.

How to Use an All-Clad Electric Skillet

Finding a Stainless Steel Electric Griddle without Teflon

You may have to search a little more to find a stainless steel electric griddle made without a teflon surface, but it is completely possible. And if you are concerned about cutting out any possible carcinogens, it can be a very good idea.

Large Stainless Steel Electric Skillets

Sometimes, you just need a large stainless steel electric skillet. Maybe you have a big family. Maybe you like to have company for dinner. Maybe you just like to eat a lot. Whatever the reason, these larger electric skillets and griddles may be the right choice for you.

Honestly, we should go with a large one. Our three boys are little now, but already our eight year old eats a ton. Got to think of the future, right?

Lasagna Cooked in an Electric Skillet

You can use your electric skillet for so much! Here's an example of a recipe that most people wouldn't think of making with an electric skillet - lasagna.

I use a regular griddle, but these stainless steel ones look pretty nice. It might be time for an upgrade.

My mil used to cook Sunday dinner in an electric skillet. It made it so easy for her. I had not considered a griddle till seeing this page. A stainless steel electric griddle would be a very nice addition to our home. I like the ones without teflon.
