The T-fal Clipso is the best pressure cooker I have used, it is very easy to cook with, and to close and open the lid, and it comes from one of the leaders in the cookware industry. T-fal has so many innovations in the cookware industry, they are basically reinventing the cooking, and together with a few other companies, they are making cooking enjoyable.

Why I Love My T-fal Clipso

This pressure pot's best feature is the "one touch open and close lid". It is the best lid ever, T-fal's innovation, you just press a button and the lid is closed. You press another button and the lid opens. If you ever used a regular pressure cooker, you know how cumbersome is to properly put the pressure lid on. Well, with Clipso, the annoying operation becomes a breeze, and it is a one hand move. I almost can't stop opening and closing it.

The pot is made of stainless steel, which compared with the aluminum ones is better, because there is no aluminum leaching into your food. The steel is hard to scratch, and even after pressure cooking accidents, you can clean it properly without scratching it too much.

The steam basket is nothing fancy, a stainless steel one, nicely finished. The basket's tripod is just a steel rod properly shaped to support the basket at the proper height in the pot, but it is actually great.

Why you need a pressure cooker?

Well, you heard so many people bragging about their pressure cooker, and you are wondering: "Why do I need one?" A pressure pot is an extremely versatile device that reduces cooking time and preserves the food nutritional value. Here are a few great reasons:

  • You need it to preserve more nutrients in your vegetables.
  • You also need it if you want to cook a few times faster anything.
  • Food doesn't stick to the pot.
  • Steaming vegetables is done very fast.
  • Deep frying anything is very easy with a pressure pot.
  • You need less water in the pot, so reducing sauces is easier.
  • For me, one of the best features of a pressure pot is that you can cook odorless. The steam is kept inside the pot, actually if steam escapes, you should adjust the temperature so that there is no steam coming out.

Families that cook a lot will benefit from using it. I know we do, my wife hates the smell after cooking in the house, and the air conditioning system is just not enough. With a pressure pot, we can enjoy cooking without any problems. That's not to say that no food odor will go in the house, but it will be a lot less than using a conventional pot.

Other Great Pressure Cookers

My first choice remains T-fal Clipso, but to be honest, I used other, less expensive cookers, and they worked fine. If you don't want to spend the extra money, these other pots are great choices, especially the one from All American, which has some of the best rating on Amazon, and the price is really affordable for the quality.
