Thank You, Coca-Cola, for Trying to Make A World of Happiness
Not all Soda can give is bad
I was browsing Youtube the other night when I saw all these videos made by the Coca-Cola company. I have seen various commercials of this brand helping put up schools, give sports materials to children, and many more. But what I saw on these videos made me realize that they not only give material things, but also happiness to other people. Much have been written about soda or softdrinks making us unhealthy. Maybe some were true. After all, I got my acid reflux from drinking too much soda. But this company does not only receive, they also know how to give as can be seen from the videos below. Truth to tell, most of these videos made me teary-eyed while watching them.
Below are videos spreading happiness worldwide. Some will make you cry while others are sure to bring smile to your face. There are many videos and advertisements made by this company but I only chose 5 which I think are really good. Generally, these are all feel-good videos made by Coca-Cola.
Where Will Happiness Strikes Next: The OFW Project
This video made me teary-eyed. Coca-Cola made it possible for some Filipino foreign workers to be reunited with their families for Christmas by bringing them home for free. These workers have been working abroad for a very long time, enduring the loneliness of being away from their loved ones just so they could support them and give them a better life.
This aims to give the overseas foreign workers from South Asia a chance to talk to their families back home free using bottle Coca-Cola bottle caps and not money as tokens for payphone.
Small World Machines: Bringing India and Pakistan Together
The first video I saw. For this video, an interactive machine was put up which connects two people from these two opposing countries. The machine allowed both participants to touch hands (virtually) and make eye-to-eye contract, sing and dance just like they were in front of each other personally and forget the animosity even if it just for the time being. Afterwards, they were both given a free Coke.
In this video, they invented bottle caps that can only be opened with another bottle. So you have to team up with another person to be able to enjoy your cold bottle of Coca-cola. In doing so, you are making an opening for a possible friendship.
The Friendship Machine was put in 7 Latin American countries in celebration of Friendship Day. This machine has two times the height of a regular vending machine. So to be able to insert your coins, you will need the help of a friend to push you up or to carry you on their shoulders. In return, you will get 2 bottles for the price of 1. This video is an example of the saying that no man is an island.
