The Contigo West Loop Vs Aria Travel Mug
Two Contigo Autoseal Travel Mugs Compared
The Contigo Autoseal travel mug is dominated by the West Loop. The older model holds temperature better than the newer model but the lid was harder to clean. Both do great at not leaking and they both perform very well but what about similar mugs in the Contigo Autoseal line? What about the Aria insulated mug in particular?
The Main Difference Between The Aria & West Loop
Lets keep it simple. There are slight differences in styling but the main difference is the Aria's lid can be locked shut while the West Loop's cannot.
The West Loop Autoseal Coffee Tumbler
The West Loop line is one of the best selling lines of high end tumblers made anywhere. There most popular mug is the 16 ounce model lined below.
- Contigo AUTOSEAL West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Easy-Clean Lid, 16-Ounce, Silver/Blue, Set of 2
You can also pick up a 20 ounce version for a few bucks more but I really prefer the Aria line of mugs listed below because the locking feature on the lids is super important to me. If you've ever placed a West Loop mug in a bag then you know what I mean - that button can be accidentally depressed quite easily.
The Contigo Aria Travel Mug
The Aria tumbler comes in large sizes to but also in sizes smaller than the West Loop making it an attractive options for a variety of people.
There is the Contigo Autoseal Aria Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 20-Ounce. This is pretty big. I much prefer the smaller versions.
- Contigo Autoseal Aria Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 16-Ounce
- 14oz Vacuum-Insulated Autoseal Travel Tumblers (Red/Silver)
Really the 14 ounce is tumbler is best in my mind because it's more versatile and can actually fit under many single serve coffee makers.
