The perfect pasta salad: Tuna Macaroni Salad
This macaroni and tuna salad is the first thing I ever learned to crook as a new bride. We were broke most of the time and it was good, cheap and filling. It still is. I love it because it is so versatile. You can make it fancy, as it is in this picture, by adding tomatoes and vegetables, or you can use different types of pasta shapes (I like shells or the tricolor pasta). You can use canned chicken or ham instead of tuna. You can make it with packaged macaroni and cheese, or you can even make it with ramen if you are really broke!
Here are possible add-ons for this recipe:
Fresh tomatoes
Canned mixed vegetables
Stir-fry vegetables
Chopped celery
I'm sure creative cooks can come with even more combinations, but for a quick, easy lunch it's fine just the way it is!

- 1 can tuna
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- chopped onion to taste
