Unusual Wine Glasses

Updated on June 1, 2015

Unique Ideas for Wine Drinkers

Ahhh, there is nothing like a glass of wine at the end of a long day. This is my favorite way to wind down from a very hectic day. Wine drinkers know what type of wine they enjoy but it is hard for someone to guess if a certain vintage will be to their liking without the all important smell of the bouquet and the taste against the pallet. One thing that I am sure of is that there is always a fun way to serve up that precious drink. I love nothing better than something fun and unusual. When the fun adds to a time honored ritual like the nightly partaking of the fruit of the vine it is even better. That is why I decided to put this lens together and share some fun glasses. Don't get me wrong nothing will ever replace the beautiful shape and feel of a true wine glass in my hand but it is great to do things different every once in awhile.

Oenophilia Porto Sippers

The fun design of these hand-blown glasses caught my eye immediately. They are truly unique and a guaranteed conversation starter. I was surprised that they are small enough to fit in your hand without being detected. The lack of a normal glass stem makes this possible.

I will add some links here to make it easy for anyone to find out what the terms of the world of wine are and what they mean.

Wine Glasses

A few not so unique design wine glasses are feature below. First there is a great way to store your glasses from the ceiling. This cool wine accent is perfect for a bar area or in the kitchen. It is very unusual and a fun way to store all those pesky wine glasses laying around. Plus you save a lot of cabinet space.

Wine Glass Cork Saving Cage

Every year I save the cork from our New Years Eve bottle of champagne. I never had a place to keep them and after a few years they are laying here and there in my hutch. I saw this neat wine glass shaped cage that is just perfect to store them. This one has a chalkboard on front so I can easily put New Years Corks on it. I use a pen to put the year on each cork and with this cut container they will all be in one place.

There are other neat cages including a wine bottle, wine keg, a boot and a handbag. Use the information link above to see them all. What a cute idea.

Wine Barrel Cork Cage

The Wine Barrel Cork Cage is a fun and innovative way to keep and cherish all of your wonderful wine memories, and a great way to give a bottle of wine to your friends and family. Just drop your treasured corks in the top. This wine barrel, artfully sculpted from metal with entwined colored glass spheres is sure to please anyone receiving it. Most standard wine bottles fit in this barrel.

Antler Wine Glasses

I live in the country and seeing antlers on the deer is something I enjoy just about every day. These are real convincing antler wine glasses. Perfect for a cabin in the woods or for a log home. Fun and decorative these look great. I think this will dress up the dinner table in any home not just mine.

Bottles of Wine

You will need something to put in your wine glasses. I love all types of wine but found that the dry stuff was just not for me. I prefer something on the sweeter side. Everyone has a preference and here are a few to choose from.

Music Anyone

I love rock and roll and these are some of my favorite rock groups in wine form.

Rock till you drop with 1 bottle each of Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon Cabernet Sauvignon, Rolling Stones Forty Licks Merlot, Woodstock Chardonnay, The Police Synchronicity Red Blend, and the new Grateful Dead Steal Your Face Red Wine Blend.

Ultimate Wine Bottle Glass

I saw this on the Thanksgiving special of "The Chew". It is a day time cooking show for those that do not know. When they showed this particular glass I really laughed and just had to add it here. I know there are times when I want my glass filled with as much wine as possible. Now I found the way to do it ......

Would you be able to tell me where you found the wine glass that looks like a hand holding the wine?
