Rachael Ray vs. Paula Dean Pot and Pan Sets

Updated on January 24, 2017

Tawnya is a freelance writer and mom of a tiny gymnast. When it comes to buying gymnastics-related gear, I'm an industry pro.

As a work-at-home mom, I spend a great deal time in the kitchen. In fact, the only reason I often stop working is to cook. For this reason, I need a set of reliable pots and pans. Growing up in a family of cookers, I realize that the right pots and pans will make or break a meal. Even better, I know from personal experience, an excellent set of pots and pans should last for years, possibly even generations. Don't believe me? Think about your grandma's cast iron skillets.

My Paula Dean Remorse

Two years ago, I was ready to splurge on new pots and pans. I went to the store with the intention of buying Rachael Ray's pots and pans. My sister already had the set I wanted, and I was sold. However, when I got there, the cheapskate in me kicked in, and I went with Paula Dean's pans. Almost immediately, I regretted my situation, but what could I do?

My Lucky Encounter with an Incredible Sale

Now, on to the good part. Last week, I found a great sale on Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II nonstick 10-piece cookware. Needless to say, I had enough of my Paula Dean pans and ordered a new set of Rachael Ray pans. As luck would have it, I was able to get the orange gradient set, which is super cute.

Putting Rachael Ray's Pots and Pans to the Test

Immediately, I got to cooking with my new pans, and I have to say I am in love. I love these pans so much that I am upset that I spent the last two years cooking with inferior pans all because I wanted to save $18.

Not Sure what to Choose? Choose Rachael Ray

So, if you are on the fence between these pans and another set, go with the Rachael Ray and you will not regret it. Why, you ask? Rachael Ray's pans truly are non-stick, the pan heats evenly and quickly, and cleaning these pans including the lids is super easy.

Get Everything You Need in One Bundle

Rachael Ray Hard Enamel Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, Orange Gradient

With this set, you get all the pots and pans you need and want. Even better, lids for all the pots are included.

Rachael Ray Cooking Accessories

If you love Rachael Ray's pots and pans, you will love all the cookware and utensils as well. If you just cook once and awhile, you may not realize how important a great set of utensils and cookware is (I sure didn't until I started cooking every day). If you're an avid, everyday cooker, you realize that it's essential to have a great set of utensils and cookware. I've tried and researched many different types of products, and I have to say Rachael's is the very best.

Another thing that makes Rachael Ray pots, pans, cookware, and utensils so much fun is the colors. Personally, I find it fun to walk in my kitchen and see all my cooking tools popping with color.

I bought these pans liked at first but hard to keep CLEAN. Bakewear is horrible they have this coating on them that burns. I don't recommend it...

I do like that orange color - for a 10 piece set, the price is excellent.
