Wolfgang Puck Bistro Food Processor - Personal Reviews

Updated on July 18, 2014

Oh Yeah... This Wolfgang Puck Bistro Food Processor is My Favorite...

Look at this photo. Is this not a well-loved gadget? My Wolfgang Puck Bistro Food Processor works so hard... he's taking a little rest now.

A well-deserved little rest.

In this article, I will demonstrate - with my very own little videos, too! - how well this thing works. I mean, we're talking a REAL Wolfgang Puck food processor review - this is PERSONAL. :)

Wolfgang and I were introduced to one another when I was actually searching for a food processor for my in-laws. I already had a food processor - a loyal KitchenAid I'd been using for at least 15 years.

But, when I saw this beautiful, cobalt blue appliance, I just knew I needed, somehow... some way... to keep him for myself.

Would this not be selfish of me?? After all, I already HAD a food processor, and my husband's parents did not. They had specifically asked us to keep our eyes open for a used food processor.

Read on... I know... the suspense is killing you, isn't it??

Our Wolfgang Puck Food Processor Getting Ready to Go to Mom & Dad's

Just as we were getting ready to head off to Mom & Dad's...

We had an idea!

Wait! Didn't Dad say that he needed the food processor to make certain salads for the golf course, where he worked?

Let's double check before we commit...

Sure enough, Dad said that they didn't really want the food processor for themselves since they had all the kitchen gadgets they already needed.

He only wanted to have one to quickly make stuff like chicken salad for special events at the golf course!

So, we said, "So you really don't need a brand new one? You're going to leave it at the golf course?"

Yup!

Yee ha! We were off the hook! We unbuckled Wolfgang from his car seat, and instead packed up the KitchenAid to head on off to his new home where he could retire comfortably and only work once in a while.

In the meantime, Wolfgang was ready to get to work!

This was win-win for everyone.

Here, Wolffie Demonstrates A Typical Task

He doesn't like to show off...

...but, let's face it. When you're good, you're good.

As you can see from the photo to the right, we have loaded Wolffie up with greens and garlic as we begin to make a lovely tabouli...

And, a mere few seconds later:

Food Processor or Hand Chopping?

I have been told that some people not only do not have a food processor, but that they prefer chopping and prepping their foods by hand. Where do you stand?

Do you prefer using a food processor or prepping your food by hand?

Lots of blades with the Wolfgang Puck 12-cup food processor

There are a Lot of Blades for This!

More than I can use!

I'm still trying to figure out what all these blades are used for! But, my Bistro model food processor has 7 different blades.

The one I have been using is the "S" blade. So far, that seems to be enough for my needs. But, once I figure out what I can do with all these other ones, I'm guessing I'll love them.

For example, there is one that looks like I'll want to try it for grating cheese and carrots. Actually, I'll be trying that soon. One task I REALLY dislike (and I can't quite figure out why, exactly) is grating carrots and cheese by hand. Maybe it's because I am always nicking my fingers on the grater.

Anyway, there's more than I can currently use! Not that I'm complaining, mind you...

Some Wolfgang Puck stuff on Amazon! - Perfect gifts for the chef in your family!

Because I'm so fond of my food processor, I decided to take a look around to see what else Wolfgang Puck has come up with. Even though I'm certainly not a professional chef, or ANY kind of chef at all, as my readers know, John & I really do enjoy cooking! And I have a deep appreciation for professional quality kitchen items and cookbooks. Take a look at some of what I found here...

Seriously? Am I THAT lazy that I need one of these? :) Hey, it's a great gift for a person who still drinks their wine from a bottle (and not a box, like me).

We Use This Food Processor a LOT for Jamaican Jerk Seasoning.

Maybe it's just a phase...

We seem to be using this food processor every week for a batch of Jamaican Jerk Chicken. This is a seriously good marinade, and every time we cook this up for company, it totally disappears.

The food processor is a must-have for this! You'll see it in action in the video below...

Here is a video I made, demonstrating how to make a great Jamaican Jerk marinade... - ...using my Wolfgang Puck "Bistro" Food Processor of course!

I really enjoy making video, and this one, which accompanies my "The Best Jamaican Jerk Sauce and Seasoning" article here at Squidoo just happens to showcase my Wolfgang Puck food processor! :)

Welcome a Wolfgang Puck Food Processor into YOUR Kitchen!

Well, believe it or not, I could not find the 12-cup model that I have; however, I did find a smaller, 4-cup model.

If this 4-cup model is at all like the 12-cup, you'll love this thing! Like the 12-cup model, this one also has a storage drawer in the base.

I was gifted a Puck Bistro Food processor and was going to use and found it would not turn on at all. It's beautful and in new condition. I would like to know if there is somewhere I can take or send it to get it repaired....Any help for me out there would be greatly appreciated.....

I am old fashioned and do most of my foods by hand but my daughter swears by her food processor. During her divorce it was actually a fight over the food processor and her ex won so she went out and promptly bought herself a new one lol. I guess that is as good a recommendation for them as one can get.

@SusanDeppner: Yeah, it is - it's quite a bit heavier than the old one, which probably explains the power!
