vegetable cutter

Vegetable cutters are made with various materials such as wood , ceramic, metal, plastic . Vegetable cutter is not only used for cutting the vegetables, and is being used for making the vegetables to uniform as well as getting the sizes in consistency. Even it is good to use the vegetable cutter for time savings and for serving a crowd of people or friends.

Cutters should be choosen based on variety of shapes and it should be easy for handling. Mostly we prefer the vegetable cutter with multiple choices like slicing, dicing and chopping.Slicer or dicer or choppers are available separately also. Some of the vegetable cutter used in by restrauants are made of steel, which can do the job in a perfect manner as well as long lasting.

Apart from this , for the home use we prefer vegetable cutting table made out of plastic , wood or ceramic. Comparing to all the vegetable cutting table wood is mostly preferred. Because as per findings , wood is killing the bacterias once the vegetable cutting is done. Other materials is comparably weak doing the same job.

Yes Peggy W nowadays people mostly prefer the plastic for the handling and the design. But If you consider the health benefits you must go for wood. Thank u for sharing your opinion.

We mostly use plastic type ones that can be sanitized in the dishwasher after use instead of wood these days.

I agree with Kaie about being able to clean the wood effectively. You did a great job with your hub.

Sarovai- I sometimes worry about the ability to really clean the wood. Would these produce and hold onto more bacteria than other types of cutters? Nice job with this! Kaie
