I have published 25 hubs now mostly within the last 2 days (I wrote them before) and was wondering, how long does it take to start getting traffic to them from google? how much money would you expect me to make from adsense, and any tips and advice? Many thanks.

if you articles are well written, SEO optimized  and your niche is not very competitive, you will start earning in several days.

Hi Dave - it depends on a lot of factors like what keywords your using, how frequently people are searching for those words in search engines, how much advertisers are paying on those keywords, what other competing pages there are...

Paul Edmondson (on of the creators of hubpages) estimates average adsense earnings of $2-$5 per 1000 page views, but that also depends on a lot of factors.

My best tip would be to do all you can to learn about keywords, how to find them and what to do with them once you've got them. Good luck!

Your earnings will depend on various factors with traffic, traffic sources, CPC of your keywords, hub topics being the major ones.

Reasearch SEO and keywords if you want to make money online.

And, congratulations on publishing 25 and best of luck for future hubbing! smile

I get a hellova lot more than $2-$5 dollars per thousand pageviews! Maybe off Google alone, but with Amazon, eBay and Kontera my earnings far exceed that value.

My advice would be to create a target niche and then build a large number of Hubs on your target keywords, be sure to link them all together.

Hi, thanks for the advice, i had a google of some of your hubs and see your hubs are in the top results. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of money are you making?

Hey Oli that's the average for adsense. I don't have kontera or ebay but I'm doing well on amazon, so it definitely pushes that average up somewhat!

Another tip would be to pick topics that not many other hub page writers have picked, but might be popular here. Google and Yahoo like certain subjects more than others. Every day some of these list the top ten most searched for items - like names of famous stars or music groups or films or events or any relevant topic.

Make sure your topic and subject is relevant. If it is, and you have Adsense and Amazon ads on that hub, there's good chance it will be read by others. I am one hubber who uses the Hub search feature here a lot to look for particular subjects or news to read. Stands to reason others will too.

Remember that attracting traffic from within hub pages is great, but so too is getting traffic from outside hubs. That's where a blog or website with backlinks comes in handy. Best of luck with your hubs.
