Castro is laying off government workers and cutting government jobs while eliminating legislation that makes it difficult for people to start their own businesses!

So why is Obama doing the exact opposite? Is a man with an Ivy League education really that stupid or does he have a reason for doing what he's doing?

You miss the point. I'm not blaming Obama for what Castro is doing, I'm praising Castro for doing the opposite of what Obama is doing. I'm praising Castro for coming to his senses, for coming to the realization that socialism doesn't work, and I'm praying to God that Obama and the democrats learn that lesson before they destroy our country.

I'm sorry.  I seem to have missed something.  When did Obama say that Castro is one of his heroes?

You must have missed that Obama (and all Democrats and all liberals and everyone else who disagrees with conservative "thinking" ) is a Socialist.    All Socialists worship Castro.   It is really that simple.

I's obvious Obama has a soft spot for radicals, socialists and communists, I have no doubt he thinks highly of Castro as well.

      Lady-love (still the wrong name)

You need to read more widely and get a more balanced view of the world outside of your rabid right wing republican rants. There's no substance in your political posts other than a clear hatred for all things Obama. Why is that I wonder?

Next time your roof leaks or your car breaks down make sure you post up on here why it was Obama's fault.

I don't hate all things Obama, he does have a nice smile! It's just his wrong headed policies that I despise. I still have hope that he will change his ways. I'd welcome him as a conservative.

I am confused. The article states that Castro is laying off 500,000 government workers. Is that what you want Obama to do? Lay off 500,000 people? Which government workers were you thinking of? Teachers, firefighters, police? Of course we don't need them...We probably don't need the water treatment and sewer workers; you know, the ones that keep the raw sewage from backing up into your home? In most large cities, garbage men are government workers. We probably don't need them either. You sound as if you think President Obama invented government employees. Since he came into office, most government offices have had hiring freezes.
As far as Democrats being socialists? What are you talking about? Or are you just parroting what you have heard? Last time I looked, Obama was trying to pass legislation that would make it easier for small businesses to get loans. He has also proposed legislation to decrease the taxes of small business owners. These things are being done to help small businesses be able to hire more employees. Eisenhower was responsible for the building of the interstate highway system we use today- maybe he was a socialist, too? Everytime people start talking about the evils of government workers, I wonder just which ones they are talking about? Probably the FBI or CIA, definitely the Food and Drug Administration and the Center for Disease Control. Sure, Obama needs to get rid of all of them... they are totally unnecessary...What is he thinking?

we DON'T need them. If there's a demand for something, then the free market can easily provide it.

Wait - I thought everything was Bush's fault? Are we limited to the number of scapegoats we can have? The more the merrier, I guess.
