      Onions... I've been hungry in my life, but I will never be hungry enough to eat an onion.  The smell and the texture.... disgusting!  YUK!

         When I was a little girl (was I?) I used to hate onions! I would sit for hours at my miserable bowl of soup, trying to take out every single piece of it! I could not stand it. And I could not leave the table before I finish my soup. Well, as soon as my mom was not looking, my soup would got out of the window, right on my mom's roses, they just loved rich nutrition!

      You have to go to Boston to get really great New England clam chowder, but try the Manhattan style, it's more soupy made with a tomato base and a lot of vegtables. I love them both!

      I can't stand raw tomatoes. Something about the texture repels me. I also hate pickles of any kind, but especially beetroot.

   This is great - hilarious and enlightening.  I love clam chowder, onions and most seafood (except oysters).  And I like bologna okay.
   
   But I loathe and detest Cream of Wheat.  The very few bites I have ever had of it tasted like wet bread.  YUCK.

      Try it with butter, strawberry jam(lots of both). My mom used to feed me that fattening stuff and i used to throw it up!  Double Yuck.

         It always seemed funny to me that I would hate it so much.  I grew up with oatmeal (chewy, not gooey) and grits (YUM) - I'm a Southern girl, after all.  And I thought it would be very enlightened of me to try to like a "yankee" dish like Cream of Wheat.  But even though I've tried several times, I just haven't been able to stomach it.  Sorry.  Maybe the jam and butter would help, but at my age I'm thinking it's okay to recognize and acknowledge my likes and dislikes, no?

      Ohhhh nooooo.  We agree on the first - but liver?  I used to like it a lot.  It's been ages since I've had any.  I also love odd vegetables:  broccoli, sweetpotatoes, squash, brussels sprouts, and more.  I'm not sure I've ever met a vegetable that I didn't like.
      
      I also really dislike the taste of buttermilk.  It's great for cooking, but I have tried to like drinking it, and I always fail.

         As a kid, I hated vegetables like broccoli and brussels sprouts, now I love them.  I've never gotten the hang of enjoying sweet potatoes, though!

      Raw Cauliflower leaves something to be desired. Cooked cauliflower however is pretty good in my opinion. If it's breaded and cooked, that is an extra plus!

    The only thing I have discovered so far that I cannot stand to eat is soggy bread.  I can't stand souffles that are not well cooked (especially those made with day-old bread slices), and seeing people soak their dry toast in milk is enough to make me gag.

    and the thought of eating an entire candy bar... can't do it anymore or bologna, yuk.

    Wow, you guys are almost all nuts, if you ask me.  I love carrots, onions, cauliflower, beets... even cottage cheese!
    
    However, I cannot abide fish or seafood of any kind... except squid.  Go figure.  I just love the texture.

    I like  pretty much everything that has been mentioned. I do like seafood of all kinds,sushi, sashimi, even squid . I think the only thing I've tried to eat and could not swallow (even with a big drink of orange juice) was a raw oyster.

    i love to hate sour kraut,  even the smell makes me gag.  I also don't like olives of any kind, but i love tapenade, go figure. Raw oysters are pretty disgusting too.

       That's the worst tasting cheese I know, and they eat it a lot here in Germany.
       Another thing they eat here that is totally disgusting is 'Eisbein' - the boiled lower part of a pig's leg, which is covered in thick, white fat. I've only tried it once, and almost threw up on the second mouthful.

             They usually flavour the Limberger with caraway seeds, which I'm not keen on either.
             Never tried pickled pig's feet, or any kind of pig's feet - but I'll try anything once.

       ewww! all stinky cheese is awful and makes people smell stinky too!  I have a real dislike of cina-bons - those huge sticky buns at the mall!  I hate the smell of them.
       
       Also movie theatre popcorn - ugh!  I like to make my own popcorn - not microwaved - at home.

    Cucumbers - I hate cucumbers! I don't like the taste or the smell, and they give me terrible indigestion.
    Great to get that off my chest, having had great fun arguing in their favour on another Forum thread, and having written a Hub that has a lot to do with cucumbers :-)

    Tapioca...or does anyone remember?  I don't know if you can still get it.  It's a dessert item, usually. The texture is like fish eggs in a slimy cream sauce as I recall.

    Some great ones on here.
    I have a lot that I can't stand to eat, including fresh tomatoes (but I love all tomoato products) and cucumbers -- because the that icky gelatinous texture. Ew.
    
    Another one is blood sausages. Even the smell of them cooking challenges my gag reflex

    Artificial sweeteners.  I haven't found one that I like.  One of them (I forget which) tastes all right with the first mouthful, but after that it's bitter and repulsive.

    I cannot stand eating missionaries, they are invariably fatty or dried up sticks, the layers of condescension and self-righteousness seem to have replaced any reasonable meat - and they whinge continually while being boiled !  And the brain!  ech!  when opened the head is full of slimy piss and poison and should be discarded into the latrine, the eyes are not so bad as they have never really been used
