Would someone please have a look at my hubs and give me some feedback?

   Although I registered with HP a year ago, I have only been writing for 3 mths. I started to write articles in order to create back links to my main website to enhance its authority. My site rents self catering (vacation rental) properties in Spain.
   
   My perspective has now completely changed and I'm interested in traffic and monetarization. This changed perspective may be why my early hubs aren't making it.
   
   My problem is that I get no traffic. All my posts are on RedGage and Digg, Facebook and Twitter.
   
   IzzyM gave me some great tips for on-page optimisation, and I went on to buy Samurai Marketing, which I think is a great training tool. I don't think I can do anything about off page optimisation can I?
   
   it's possible that I'm too impatient. Or my hubs may simply be too boring, or too parochial (being confined to a little area in Spain).
   
   Any advice or observation would be very welcome.

   hubs looked very good, add more tags and just do better keyword research for outside traffic.

   I think your hubs are fine. Your biggest problem is in choosing and using keywords correctly, I believe.
   
   I'm a bit confused why your snail hub has a URL that begins with Vacation Rentals? I think Google is confused to, as the hub is displaying makeup adverts. That URL can seriously hamper your Google rankings, thereby hampering traffic.
   
   On your "escargo" hub, I'm surprised that you used the misspelled version for the title, URL and most of the hub, and then the correct spelling (escargot) towards the end. According to Google's keyword tool, not many folks are searching for escargo

      When I started I thought I would create a portfolio of holiday hubs to promote my website. That's why vacation rentals. I understand optimisation better now but can't change the URL
      
      Samurai recommends competition for beginners of no more than 30,000.
      Escargot has 58,000 SEOC (SEO traffic 374) but
      Escargot has 5,030,000!!!! (traffic 11,364) So I thought it wasn't an option
      
      I think I'm missing something very simple here . . .thanks again.

         All I know is that "escargot" gets a decent number of searches. And by looking at the page 1 competition, if you do your on- and off-page optimization properly, you can definitely rank there.
         
         And instead of defaulting to a misspelling that may or may not get traffic, look at phrases like (and I'm making these up) "escargot recipes," "how to eat escargot," etc.

            but you clearly know how to read the page 1 competition.
            
            I'll let it run for a bit, and consider making a new hub, because I can't change the URL now.

   Your latest which is you say the poorest is only 3 days old so don't expect too much from a fairly competitive term.... You say you have MS so use it... You will see that you competition has reasonable on-page seo, and so on... most have many backlinks..currently you have zero that show up...
   
   If you want your hub to rank then you need to go get some good quality backlinks...
   
   I assume that this is a misspelling of the french escargot or maybe it is the way you spell it there, however the potential traffic although reasonable is much lower than for the french spelling...
   
   Also remember that the traffic for a single word keyword in MS includes all of the possible other searches that include that word... such as "cooking with escargo", "I hate escargo", "How to feed escargo to your family and make them eat it" and so on... Use the exact option if you want to see how many people search for just your term.... It will be easier to rank for a "long tail" keyword and eventually you may rank for the single term..
   Go read the many hubs on backlinking, on-page seo and using keyword tools..
   
   But otherwise quite a nice hub....

      I'm misunderstanding something. Samurai is recommending using niche marketing. The Escargot niche is too big for me? But you don't agree?

   Your hubs are nice. But you need to make better use of keywords and this would bring more quality traffic to your hubs. At the same time use more tags as this would give you better search engine ranking and traffic. All the Best.
