Exactly, and we worry when they are so silent and not squabbling (something is wrong). Peace is hard to achieve, but overall they make the home lively. They have so much energy too even watching the TV, they keep on moving, LOL

I actually enjoyed my niece and nephew during their summer holiday. We took them camping and we had instructors to take them climbing. We even went caving one day! That totally rocked!

I was less worried about the junk food as they were very active every day, what with climbing and caving and the freedom to just play! Poor kids these days are often not allowed to go out and just play. I used to love to go play, if told to do so with no time limit you would not have seen me until I got hungry!

My niece is getting a little pudgy and she made a comment that she wanted more healthy food (I think she realises that she is not the skinny little thing she was) which we were more then happy to do for her. I do worry tho as her family do not eat healthy! It's like its all meat and junk food, very few veggies and fruit in their daily diet. She took to our veggie foods happily and was happy to be limited somewhat on the junk food front.

My kids would love camping, but then they'd say they are bored about an hour into it, so I don't know what to do....Half terms nearly over with so hooray as they won't be bored, but then they get fed up of school and moan about that too lol!

3 days in and I am wishing I had invested in a couple of giant dog cages so I could keep them separate.

Monday they played nice all day.

Tuesday morning they played for  2 hours while I lazily sat in bed and drank coffee and watched TV.

But after lunch Tues they seemed to have had their fill of each other and now alternate between playing, making funny screechy noises, and trying to rip each others faces off.

I tried putting my son in the dog kennel outside, but he escaped lol!

I know what you mean though, kids are great I just wish they'd appreciate stuff, because today some kids just don't.

Back in my day (God I sound old!) we used to play with a couple of cardboard boxes for hours on end!

I find my son whining over going on the computer all day long the worst thing - he would spend his whole life on it if that was allowed. But it's not...hence lots of moaning!

Yesterdays rain led to a bit of climbing up the walls, but we do have a great basketball court right at the end of the road, my oldest is big enough at 10 to go there alone with his mates so that's great, My youngest is still a toddler so holidays are irrelevant to him, but he does love his brother being at home - and follows him about instead of me!

I'm sure my son goes cold turkey if he can't get on his Nintendo Wii and becomes a right moody teenager and he's only 9.
