Can religious followers take a joke against their religion

    I think Catholics and Jews are the best at taking a joke against their religion. Who is least likely to accept even gentle ribbing? I'm not sure.

        Yup, Muslims don't often see the funny side and do have a tendency to overreact - death sentences or fatwas but scientologists get a bit paranoid as well.

          Hubbard shoulda stood in sci fi  ....... where he was at least 3rd rate, and not gone to 9th rate by combining it with pseudo science and pop psychology. smile

          Yup Earnest I thought of Rushdie too but some other religions react badly too.

          Any others good at accepting jokes.

    The only way to beat them is to declare a slimwa, which would be the exact opposite of a fatwa! smile Some Americans may have trouble with that though! smile

    Lutherans are pretty good at seeing the humor in themselves.
    Evangelical Christians... not so much roll
