another perspective on what to do...it continues to amaze me there can be such totally different perspectives on how to look at the economy and how to run it (let it run!)
when will they finally get the real gist of what free markets are truly about?

For those who bother to look beyond the facade, 'heritage.org is a front for various ultra-conservative groups like Koch Industries who have put up over 4 million with Heritage. Other big contributors are oil & natural gas who use Heritage to put a face on climate misinformation.

yes, and like the WH and all other organizations and gov't entities...all have been bought by someone elite that just keeps wanting to milk mainstreet Americans and those in other nations, to line their own pockets and keep said slaves to their blindness and addictions to the nanny state.

Those who perpetuate the fear mongering (i.e.saying  no checks will go out, or the other side are trying to put down the people...) of not allowing some one else elite to run the economy for them and "meet their needs" are bringing on the downfall of the country and trounsing of the courage of the people to stand up and refuse to be slaves to their addictions and the systems any longer.

Everyone has a responsibility to the creation of this economy and everyone needs to wake up and change their ways. The blame has got to stop and the idea that "they know better than the other" has got to stop as well.
        All sides are culpable.hmm

The line, 'all sides are culpable. ' has a great ring, but the president and democrats have been flexible about proposed cuts but maintain that shared sacrifice means the rich have to chip in.

When you agree with that, you come back with that bipartisan tone. As long as you spout Heritage as an authority, your populist rhetoric is..... and I will edit to avoid a ban... doubtful.

they have been as flexible as the media have portrayed them...nothing more...which doesn't mean all the Truth is out there for everyone to see and read hmm
and as long as you believe you have all the truth from the media, you are deluded hmm

I can't believe that the Tea Party would support the part of Heritage that wants to stop easy money mortgages. I totally believe that the Tea Party wants easy money mortgages and soon.

        Yes, and A L E C.

"Through the corporate-funded American Legislative Exchange Council, global corporations and state politicians vote behind closed doors to try to rewrite state laws that govern your rights. These so-called "model bills" reach into almost every area of American life and often directly benefit huge corporations. Through ALEC, corporations have "a VOICE and a VOTE" on specific changes to the law that are then proposed in your state. DO YOU?"

"Everyone has a responsibility to the creation of this economy and everyone needs to wake up and change their ways. The blame has got to stop and the idea that "they know better than the other" has got to stop as well.
    All sides are culpable."

How am I culpable, and why do I have to pay?
    I didn't get rich.
    I didn't prosper.
I didn't buy any homes or toys or fancy stuff.
I didn't create scams and sell them to people as legitimate ways of doing business.
I didn't create a bubble and burst it.

I worked...at the same job for 10 years.
    Paid my bills.
    Raised my family.
    Saw the prices sky-rocket.
    Saw the rich get richer.
    Saw myself falling into poverty.

How come I have to pay?
How about those people who earn more money than some country's GDP pay up?
How about those people who started that war and didn't pay for it....Go take it out of Haliburton and XI's hide! They're the ones that are benefitting....not me.

    Why's gramma got to pay?
What did she do to wreck the economy?

Have the banks pay back ALL the money they were given. What is it, 813 trillion??

All sides are not equally culpable.Nor should they take equal blame.
Blame the ones who did it, and make them pay.
    Bushco Bushco Buscho Buscho......
