I've been trying to find this answer on the hubpages official contest rules but so far no luck. What if you have a story that's rather large and needs to be published in segments. How will the judges interpret a story like that, as one entry or as many entries as there are story parts?
Good question! I think so - from one of the recent replies from Staff where someone asked about NANORIMO (or whatever it is!) - they seemed to imply you can put a seriel in the contest.
I plan to do that myself...
Thank you Simey! I will go with the "publish in parts" approach. That will really help readability. My story's over 9,000 words!

Not fully conclusive, but I think as long as you follow the rules and the work is original - there's nothing that stops you writing a series - the only thing is that you may not 'win' overall for individual parts...

A Contest will provide friendly competition that will boost creativity. I am not sure how many people need this creative boost as much as I do but I am pretty sure many of us will appreciate the contest.
