I have looked around the web for the "rating" placement. Most sites I see have it at the top next to the author bio or above the picture.

I would think it would be better at the bottom, just below where you finish the recipe.
But, I know there are many here with recipe hubs and looking for your suggestion/advice on where is the best placement for this capsule from your experience.

    Thanks!!!

I've been doing that near the top near the photo.  I'm not really sure, though.

The food sites I have looked at have the rating (with a review) within another tab on the page , at the top and sometimes at the bottom.

I thought I would step into this forum to see what others feel about this wonderful tool - the rating capsule. I recently converted one of my recipes to the new format and put the rating capsule at the bottom. I figured people would read through the recipe to determine if they like it-- then rate it. But, then, if they actually make the recipe and want to come back to rate the recipe, then they would have to scroll down through the recipe to rate it. In using that case, logic tells me that I should put the recipe capsule at the top so the reader would not have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the recipe to find the rating capsule.

Hmmmm! Maybe I'll move the capsule to the top. I see suggestions for top or bottom. I don't, really know so I will keep reading this forum to see what the majority of people say.

Good question. A couple of weeks ago I went into all my recipes and added ratings capsules. However, with one exception, so far I don't think anyone has bothered to rate any of them. So at this point, I have left them down below near the comments. That seems like an appropriate spot for now. Maybe if some of them get a few good ratings worth bragging about I'll move the capsule to the top. Right now they just look kind of sad and unimportant without any ratings at all, so I'll keep them hidden at the bottom.

Here's another question: If someone rates a recipe, will that show up as a feedback statistic on our account page? Or can a column for ratings be added? Maybe it already has. I'm gonna go look.

I wonder if it makes a difference to Google where we have the rating capsule?
