Dolores! Your avatar is so summery and fun! I LOVE it!!
You look like you could be in that new commercial for Prius 3 -- where the flowers sing. You know the one I mean?

Are we still talking about bad movies or are we trying to lure fierycj over here to spar with us (Ron)?

If the former, I try to avoid films that I know are going to be bad.
Meaning, I don't watch a lot of movies. It is not uncommon for me to go into Blockbuster, walk the perimeter and find not a single "new release" that I am interested in. Guess I'm a film snob. Oh well!

    Hi Lita!

Don't worry, Mighty Mom. I'm too much in a good mood today. Had a fine as hell day today, too. But this here, Ron is sure turning into a pisser, jerk fast. He used to be cool and funny.

Sorry fierycj, it was meant in fun.  You are one person I can count on for a reaction to a jibe.  I was more ticked off that the "is it a sin" threads were banned.  While posting the fake LV (I personally am so fashion senseless that I don't even know what that means) / sheep buggering thread, I briefly changed my avatar to a picture of a man doing exactly that to a sheep.  I poke fun at myself as much as I do others and it is truly meant as a jest, not a personal attack.

Only those designed as personal attacks.  (IE, "Is it a sin to behave in such and such a way like so and so does?")

Thanks, Mighty Mom - I love yours, you look powerful (in a good way) and happy. I was worried that no one would take me seriously. oh well. But sometimes bad movies can be good, in their own way, or, I should say, entertaining.

For a while I felt that Brad Pitt was producing an absolute stinker for every good movie he chose to be in. But he's had a better run of late.

I'm actually about to watch Fight Club. Which I haven't seen in almost 10 years.

good movie. The director, David Fincher is a guy who I respect his creativity. Loved his visual style for the movies Seven and Benjamin Button.

"Kingdom of the Spiders" starring William Shatner.  In spite of his recent commercial success being predicated on his self deprecation.  William Shatner is so embarrassed about doing this movie that he refuses to return to Camp Verde, Arizona, (where the film was shot in 1975) for a festival given in his honor.

Ftr, I don't find Brad Pitt narcisstic (he seems very down-to-earth imo) and I think he's a very good actor (and he is fricking hilarious in "Snatch").

I also love "Starship Troopers" and I avoided watching the sequel because I just got a very bad vibe from it... mainly because I saw it in Blockbuster and had no idea whatsoever a sequel had even been made.

Tim Burton's "Planet of the Apes"--turned it off 20 minutes before the ending: Just. Did. Not. Care.

Peter Jackson's "King Kong"--tried twice to watch it. Couldn't manage to get off that damn island either time... booooring...

Edit: "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is one of my all-time favorite movies! :-(

I know loads of people love this film but I thought Eternal Sunshine on a Spotless Mind was awful. It's probably not the worst film ever, but it's the only one i can think of at the moment and I really disliked it.

(I think High School Musical goes without saying).

You have to be really old to have seen really bad movies like, "The Attack of the Saucermen".

I saw a Sci-Fi movie that was called Rave to the Grave and it was terrible. Here is the synopsis:

A college student creates and sells a drug called 'Z' on campus which resurrects the living dead, who wreak havoc at a Halloween rave.

Another bad movie I saw but loved was Death Wish 3. Just one of those movies that were so bad it was hilarious. Charles Bronson kills so many people in that movie.

I can't stand From Dusk Til Dawn.  I couldn't believe I was still watching it half-way through.  It was so bad, I had to finish it and now I can't believe I ever made it to the end.  Whenever anyone asks me this question, it's the immediate response my brain has.

It's probably not the worst movie ever made, but I walked out of "the curious case of benjamin button"

Many people liked it, but I thought it was nonsense. lol

For me, it would be a toss-up between 'Eyes Wide Shut' (just didn't get it) and The Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton that my kids forced me take them to when they were little.

Oh, and there was some Tarzan or George of the Jungle movie that came out in 1984 that my (now) ex-hubby took me to on our first date. I fell asleep 15 minutes into it. Of course, it couldn't been because of my date..... smile

Did anyone see "200 Cigarettes"?  Bad bad bad.  Had a slew of a-list actors...supposed to be this indy flick on what to do on new year's eve back in the 80's but it was bad.  Costumes on the other hand...priceless!

The Toxic Avenger - Awful!  I saw it when I was a KID with bad taste and hated it then!  Tasteless too.

Not only was this movie awful, it was the biggest let down.  I waited 19 years for THIS sequel?  My date fell asleep watching this.  She woke up in the middle of it and told me to wake her up when it was over.  I told her to forget it and asked her is she wanted leave.  The rest is history.  That was the first time I ever wanted to get a refund from the a theater because I thought it only fair...What an AWFUL movie.  I heard Harrison Ford cried when he heard about how all of the Indiana Jones fans voiced their opinions about the movie.

I'm not sure if it would win the prize for "worst of all time", but I found Nanny Diaries pretty unbearable. I couldn't even sit through the whole thing.
