Hi there,
I'm just curious - Does anyone know how the order of individual hubs on topic pages is determined? Is it by traffic, hubscore or something else?
Thanks,
Paul.
Hubs on Topic Pages are ranked by something we internally refer to as "HeatScore", which is a combination of HubScore and recency.
It is of course always wonderful when a genuine question by a genuine Hubber is answered very quickly by a staff member who is in the know. It's one of the things that makes Hub Pages so great, above all other sites.
Sadly, pathetic and idiotic comments by those who have no knowledge of Hub Pages or who haven't even had the decency to make the attempt to get to know Hub Pages before making their offensive, obnoxious and ridiculous comments tend to somewhat spoil the experience for other users. I feel no further need to address a certain idiot - I merely suggest they return to their obnoxious domain and remain there...
Please make this the last farewell, worst-of-hp
Good bye and good riddance!
Gordon Hamilton, I agree it is nice to get quick answers. I have noticed both derek's and Simones presence here more as of late trying to communicate to our concerns as hubbers ( which has been really nice), however, I must admit
worst-of-hp has a point (not how I would have made it but just as effective). I'm not sure what Simone means by recency and if traffic determines placement then doesn't that defeat the purpose. Maybe a better choice would be placing hubs which pass QAP but have NOT garnered much traffic and are in danger of being idled. This would be helping hubbers who need the exposure....just a thought....
Thanks Simone for the answer it is greatly appreciated and an interesting question to be asking.

Writing has always been my way of talking when no-one is listening so finding HubPages is as good as picking up the phone and knowing there is someone on the other end of the line.My problem is that I have so much to write about I don't know what my niche is or if I even want one. What do you think...

When it was first introduced I was annoyed by it but made an effort to tweak my hubs to get them out of Idle status. Now, a whole load have got zzs against them again and many of them are hubs that at one point were very successful and even now still have scores above 70 or higher. One of the hubs...

Since I joined HP there has been a constant battle against the rise and fall of traffic. We are often encouraged to tune our titles, edit our content and generally try to improve our Hubs. Now with the threat of having Hubs unfeatured, as well as the new quality assessment process taking place...

What's the topic of the hottest hub you have?I'm not looking for everyone to give a link to their personal hubs here. I would just like to know what topic your best hub falls under. Which one is ranked the highest, gets the most traffic, & if this matches the overall...

I've been writing here for quite a few years, I go back to the ancient era before the 'featured' 'not featured' declension.I have found that 'fixing' a Hub which is not featured is a total waste of time, as in a day or so, after a fix, it is back to unfeatured. I did an experiment and I can...
