   If we are not interested in plight of our peers we will vanish as a society. There is a Cold War in America between the haves and have-nots because the haves  of the this country are trying to squeeze out the middle class and the poor be dam. That is why crowdfunding is so important to a survival of the middle class. And the net society in general needs to Be aware that the powers that be are trying to figure out a way to tax the net. If they succeed we all lose this source of freedom.

      I agree. I did a lot of research about crowdfunding when it was first introduced. This is a great way for we the people to financially organize and lobby congress. I have seen an explosion of activist organiztions and have joined a few. Making others aware should be our mission to combat the American apathy and save our Great Nation.

            Thats fine with me. Unlike so many posting here if the economy suddenly collapsed I would be able to take care of myself and my family. I wouldn't need a grocery store to survive I wonder John, who would save you?

                        You would have to eat and I'm sure hunting is not one of your regular activities. I guess you could join with others but then you would have to have something to offer instead of just a mouth to feed. Life is hard without food John.

                                          Still haven't found a job? No I'm not only depending on hunting but it would take a long while for the wildlife to be killed off. But you wouldn't know that because like John you wouldn't know what to do.

                     The truth is these fantasies of utter breakdown are just that, such breakdown has never actually ocurred, society always survives, I just checked, if the US had an economic crisis three times worse than the great depression today it would still be much better off than the place where I grew up was when I grew up there and society continued to operate there just fine.

                        Two problems with that concept; people in the US today don't know how to survive in those conditions whereas where you grew up it was the norm, and the levels of infrastructure that are needed here and now is much, much greater.  Lack of drinking water alone would kill millions in the first two weeks if the electric grid went down everywhere.
