Time to take the family out for a delicious meal-you might want to think about that.

This is bad.
But it seems to be typical of all restaurant chains at one time or other..................individual restaurants commit these wrongs, and it gives the whole chain a bad name.
Our local KFC was shut down last year because the management wouldn't stay up on the cleanliness code.
Remember Taco Bell's violation when an employee supposedly put feces in the meat mixture?
Some of this stuff is trickery or slander by competitors or people who want to badmouth a particular restaurant.......like the "pink slime" accusation about McDonalds.
I used to love Golden Corral. Haven't been there for a couple years, though. And in the meantime, a friend who has been there (to the one in our locality) told me that the restaurant started hiring different sets of workers and the food is getting cooked differently, is greasier and not as good. I'll have to go check it out sometime soon. Their breakfast buffet used to be awesomely good!
Reckon I should drive around back first and see if the meat's sitting by a dumpster??
Honestly, it's appalling that people would spit in food, put nasty stuff in it, etc., that unsuspecting customers are subjected to. Sickening. Those people must be sick minded or just plain mean. I think it's not only vulgar and sick, but any worker who's mean enough to do stuff like that should be prosecuted for assault, especially considering the fact that saliva and other bodily fluids can carry diseases such as AIDS. And heck, just for the sake of common decency and courtesy, they should be jailed.
Sure you can. The chances are probably minimal in the situation we're discussing. But the reference is valid. Did you never even read all the information about AIDS? Good grief. I thought everyone knew the facts by now.
No matter what, spitting in or licking food that's going to a customer, or putting foreign matter in food, of sullying someone's food in any way, is a mean sick action.
No you can't Brenda.
You can get HIV from blood but not from saliva.
I have no idea where you are getting your information.
If you want to be technical, you can't get AIDS from anything but HIV. But I digress to your infinite wisdom.
For piss and giggles, I have a link to prove it. You will surely say it's some sort of liberal abortionist gay Obama plot spreading misinformation, but here it is anyway.
http://aids.gov/hiv-aids-basics/hiv-aid … -hiv-aids/
I quote from the link you just gave-------------
"Other body fluids and waste products—like feces, nasal fluid, saliva, sweat, tears, urine, or vomit—don’t contain enough HIV to infect you, unless they have blood mixed in them and you have significant and direct contact with them.
For more information, see CDC’s HIV Transmission: Which Body Fluids Transmit HIV?"
........................................................
What part of that don't you understand??
It says exactly what I said; confirms exactly what I said!
You posted the link. So what part of it don't you understand??
It contradicts what you said, actually. The saliva would have to be injected into your vein to have even a tiny chance of infecting you. In the food would never do it. It's impossible.
All of which has nothing to do with the "ribs by the dumpster" incident.
Wrong.
It confirms what I said.
And common knowledge tells us that the mouth is one of the most sensitive areas of the body. Blood vessels are close to the skin, people's gums bleeding is a common occurrence, etc. and etc. It's very possible that the person receiving the infected food and immediately eating it could have a break in their own skin or gums or tongue too, and thereby be highly susceptible to the virus.
I SAID the chances are probably minimal. But it's highly possible. And it's always better to be as safe as can be. Especially in the food industry and etc., where workers are required by law to be extra-safe. This issue, along with the ones we already were discussing, is indeed a valid point. I, however, didn't mean to make it the paramount issue. Somebody (Melissa; LOL) of course got immediately defensive when the word AIDS was mentioned. What the problem is with stating facts about an epidemic that killed huge amounts of people, and still affects millions, is beyond me. Liberals have no problem discussing anything and everything when it's on their own agenda plate. Whatever!
Whatever...
Anyone who wants the correct information can go to the site. I had no interest in convincing you, just correcting the misinformation to anyone else who might be reading.
Fear the great AIDS infected loogie all you like Brenda.
Well Melissa,
I have to confess I too was unaware of this development since I had heard authorities in the earlier years of discovery of HIV stated that all it took was the exchange of bodily fluids.
Nah, it's a little more than that.
That's one of the reasons Lesbians have the lowest HIV infection rates.
I used to kiss HIV positive people on the mouth during lectures to dispel the myth. They face enough persecution without people fearing that if you eat off the same spoon, you are going to get "The AIDS".
Edit: There was a lot of misinformation early in the AIDS crisis because the fear was almost mass-hysteria level. Information from the media becomes the law, but the media are just cashing in on the hysteria for ratings. So most information is driven by fear because fear sells, or sold as the case maybe.
Did you know that HIV has been effectively cured in two separate individuals?

I argued with a man who really believed there was no correlation between the virus and AIDS. Has anyone else heard about this, or would like to expound upon it? He believed the disease was many different afflictions and that pharmaceutical companies were in cahoots to sell HIV...

Do you think that AIDS/HIV is a punishment from God?Do you think that AIDS/HIV is a punishment from God? I often contemplate that doctors and life science researchers are violating the rule of nature and one day we will paid back. Maybe the terminal diseases are the real pills from the nature. What...

What is the difference between HIV and AIDS, and how can one tell if he/she has been exposed to the virus?
