Like my fellow hubber calculus-geometry's hubberscore, mine has fallen off considerably, recently, 'mysteriously' as well. I think we ought to know reasons for it so that we can avoid similar experience in the future.
I would suggest publishing more Hubs. Read some Hubs that others have written. Engage in the community. And like relache said, check out the learning center. It has a whole section on how the score is calculated. Your scores will fluctuate, the more or less you are involved, etc.
The Learning Center has an entry specific to scores, http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/hubs … bber-score
"Factors used to compute Hubber Score include:
- The collective HubScores of your Hubs
- Your activity in the Forums
- Your support of other Hubbers through comments
- The number and quality of Questions you ask
- The number and quality of Answers you have given"
I had forgotten that posting questions can improve the Hubber Score. Haven't done that in a long, long time.

In the past four months I have had increasing views, higher CPMs, have been adding articles (and deleting some losers), good Amazon sales...and my Hubber score has dropped from 97 to 91 in the past few weeks! I don't get it...anybody else seeing this problem or can the team explain...

Can anyone tell me the actual meaning of the number that appears and keeps on changing on the profile pictures of each hubber.

I have been on Hubpages for almost 3 years now! I have never experienced such a low HubberScore of 43-45, it has always been 70+, even in my worst days. What's even worse for my current situation, it is that this dreadful experience does not seem to have an end, it has been like this for almost 2...
