Risk of being overly promotional

   Dear Hubbers,
   
   I am trying to publish a hub about a comparison of Kindle models.
   I have already written the content and started uploading it to the site, including a product link to each of the models on Amazon.com, when in the editor view a yellowish message appeared: 'WARNING: This Hub is at risk of being identified as Overly Promotional for use of affiliate links'.
   
   And I get this message because I have 4+ links pointing to different pages within Amazon.com, one is the official Kindle Help Forum, the other is the Returns page of Amazon, etc... so the links are pointing to pages where the reader can get help.
   
   As all the Kindle models are sold on Amazon, I don't really have a chance to change any of the links to other sites...
   
   Will this hub really be marked as Overly Promotional in the future because of this, or not?
   
   I hope I was clear with my problem.

      Sophie, comparing two products is acceptable for HubPages.  The message shows up just because you haven't completely written the comparison yet.  It is looking at the number of words you have typed and compared it to the number of products you have featured.  As you write the pros and cons of each product, you will see that the warning message goes away.

         No, that can't be it, sadly. I already have more than 2000+ words, and I am not yet finished.
         I realised since I have posted my question that the warning message is not even showing because of the product links, but because of links pointing to various help forums and for example to the returns policy page of Amazon.

            Okay. Well, generally speaking, you can only have two links to one website in a hub.  There are exceptions, and Amazon is probably an exception.  In your case, you have a lot of links going to Amazon.
            
            If it were my hub,  I would try to reduce the links and make sure they don't seem like this is an advertisement for Amazon. (or phones)  But once I decided that the hub wasn't overly promotional (in my opinion), I would go ahead and publish it.  I would probably wait until I heard back from the moderator that it was overly promotional and then ask him or her what they considered to be excessive, and then reduce that part of it.  If you want you can contact them up front at team@hubpages.com but it is the weekend so you probably won't get a response until Monday.

               Okay, thank you.
               I will try to publish the hub as it is then (now I am finished with it), and I will hope that it won't be considered as overly promotional.
               I really tried my best in the past few days to make this hub a nice, all-around one, so, I would really become sad if there would be any problems with it, as I wouldn't even be able to change the links - as the Kindle is an Amazon product, they have the official supporting forums and sites for it, etc.
               Hoping for the best then.

      You can have only TWO links to any single domain on a Hub.  That rule is not negotiable.   
      
      If the main objective of the Hub is to compare models, why do you need a hyperlink to the Returns department?  The reader hasn't even bought one yet.  It's good to want to be thorough, but ask yourself what the reader is really looking for at this point in his/her journey.

         I wanted a link to the returns (well, in fact, to the exchange policy), because I wanted to inform the readers that Amazon actually gives the opportunity to its buyers to return an item that they don't like and exchange it to another product (with price correction, of course). So if they buy a Kindle that they don't really like because it proves to be too small for them, they can return it and order a bigger one, for example. I think this policy is very helpful, as buyers can be certain that they will finally end up with a product they like 100%.

            That's fine, but there's no need to actually link to that page, because at this point in their research, the reader doesn't need it.  Quoting the relevant section of the exchange policy (the important bit is very short) would be perfectly adequate, and there's no need to cite the reference.

   You physically cannot have more than one Amazon capsule per capsule of text in your layout or this warning will trigger.
   
   Get creative with your Hub layout.

      I did, although I did not plan to have more Amazon capsules than really needed.
      The Warning was present only because I had 4 links to Amazon.com - even if all links linked to different sites within that. One was the Official Kindle Help forum, the other was a return policy page, and so on. So they were basically Help-related links, as I tried to make a very thorough hub, but with this, these links had to go, sadly.

      relache:  That is strange because I do have some capsules with two Amazon ads in them on different posts and the warning is not visible.
