I can't seriously figure this out. That seems to be a pretty long time, gosh! What did God do all the way through it? Did God play poker, or spiritual tennis - or did God invite friends to dinner, lol!
What?!
He did nothing as there was no time to get anything done.
God can only exist within time as a man, by which he would assume the status of
Son. For the Father is already established without time.
I think that time is part of what the universe is, and has no meaning outside it. And I think God transcends time and yet is still a part of what the universe is and part of who we are. I do not limit God's role to that of a creator of the universe. God is now.
Make universes.
Anything that can be done more than once (and it's difficult to conceive of anything than can only happen once) will have been done an infinite number of times in an infinity of time.
God was just hanging with no one to be with, or confer with... just He, Himself all alone. I don't know if he was sleeping in darkness, or glowing in lightness…? And then He created himself as a polarity of negative and positive, Before that, He must have been clear as water and neutral. Then He became light and dark, masculine and feminine, joyful and sad… and lonely. Then He came up with Mother Nature and the rest is history.
Maybe.
Why did God ever want to - so to speak - 'fragment' It's spirit/consciousness? What (I'm asking you because you seem to have some idea) was God's plan?
Because after He woke up, He discovered His essence was Creativity and Love/Joy! He couldn't help expressing Himself! I actually think we all created ourselves as that essence…. and He expected each Self He created to come back into His essence after a lifetime on earth (or any other habitable planet out there. ) But that fellow/(force) He created, to help Him create everything, figured out how to make us want to stay on earth. So we keep returning to the physical plane life-time after life-time. Maybe thousands! No matter how dreadful life on earth is (through our own doing, I might add), we keep coming back. This confuses God very much. He knows some of us are ready for Bliss and are done with the constant struggle of life on earth. That's why Jesus volunteered to incarnate and lead us back to heaven.
He came to tell us how to come back to true Self... by going w i t h i n !
Come home to heaven! Third eye… intuition… meditation… He said, "If your eye be single…" When you focus the gaze at the point between and just above the eyebrows, "you will perceive that your whole body is (actually) light," (the energy and electricity which is the energy of the soul operating within the body.) In the twinkling of an eye, when God perceives that you love Him, (as Spirit,) 100%, He will bring You Home… Into His spirit, where you, once again, exist as pure spirit.
This is the only thing that makes sense to me. But, they say that the truth is beyond human intellect.
TWISI
Jesus informed us:
God's "kingdom will come as His will (love?) is done, on earth as it is in heaven."
I'm positive that saints of all religions would agree.
As the large majority of religions, past and present, do not even acknowledge the existence of the Christian god I rather doubt that statement is true.
Unless you are defining "saint" to be something the Catholic church has proclaimed?
Hmmm… saint is a loose definition and what they would agree with is the essence of the idea. I'll come up with another way to say this:
Those of any religion who are devoted to the essence of Life/ (Spirit)… would agree that bringing Love/(Spirit) into the world through acts of compassion, bring heaven (bliss, peace, happiness) to earth.
Right?
Before God, the Ancient Mesopotamian Gods created the flat earth (with a firmament and levels of heaven), man from dust, woman to entice man with food, an evil snake, a flood that killed all evil inhabitants (but save one family and every species of animals by use of an ark). When the Judea/Christian God was invent a thousand years later, he went ahead and copied exactly what the previous gods did!
...with an apple? That apple symbolized something other than food. And the snake symbolized something else too. So, if we are talking about symbols why take any of the stories literally? Revelations is nothing but symbolology.
Genesis never mentions what the fruit was. It would likely have been a pomegranate, given its religious and sexual importance in Middle Eastern folklore.
sorry… I should have said,
With a pomegranate?
...of course some of the Bible might be based on actual history, like say Jeremiah and the New Testament.

If you died tomorrow would you have unfinished business?I'm not trying to bring up the subject of ghosts, I'm just asking if you'd be satisfied with the life you've lived? Is there anything you'd regret or wish you had more time to accomplish?

Why do people think that heaven or the kingdom of God is in the sky? What did Jesus say? see below20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo...
