    But where is Obama's leadership   with denying  it's  construction ? .

    Isn't he  promoting OPEC over the US   !

    What about the safe transportation of crude oil ?

    Will that remain on trucks and trains ?

    Which is ultimately safer ?

      Not sure where you got your figures, but they are incorrect.  In fact, the majority oppose the pipeline.  There have been huge demonstrations against it, and much study done as well.

      As for safety, it is a propaganda statement by those with a vested interest in the pipeline.  Whenever you have a pipeline, especially of those proportions, it is not a matter of "if," but when there will be a rupture and spill of massive proportions.

      It is an ill-conceived idea from the get-go, with, obviously the big oil conglomerates behind it--backed by the Koch Brothers!  They have told whatever lies they think people will believe in order to push their agenda.

      In point of fact, it offers exactly zero benefits to the USA.  The so-called job-creation will amount to fewer than 40 full-time positions once complete, and the oil is not coming here, for use or consumption by US customers, but is going to the port for shipment overseas to China.

      It is a Canadian project, so let them build it to one of their own ports if they want it so badly.  It does not need to cross our country!

        Come on Dzzy, you know the details are irrelevant to the rhetoric. Big Money doesn't need details for validation. forty jobs is forty jobs, and a billion in the pipeline pockets trumps forty jobs. Geesh, rookie.

        Absolutely, this is of benefit primarely for the Canadians, outside of all of that, where is my cut? We are the ones that bear the environmental risk. The fat cats can make money, but as for the 'man of the street', where are the benefits?

        Obama is right on point, the safety of our people come before the desires of the Koch Brothers. I hope he continues to hold things up as long as is necessary to have the proper precautions in place if that were ever possible.

      I think it has more to do with Warren Buffet's, Obama campaign contributions paying off as a favor. BNSF Railroad gets to continue earning millions of dollars hauling the oil.  The heck with creating more jobs.

      The trains hauling oil derail and cause great damage to the environment, death.

      Where is the EPA?

        * The oil, according to reports would be EXPORTED once it reached a final destination, if indeed it did reach a destination safely ~
        * JOBS? Miniscule
