I just want to know that how many articles (approx) are to be published and featured to expect the first payout on HubPages?
What is the present minimum payout amount?

$50.00. There is no minimum requirement for the number of hubs as far as I know, although to get approved for Adsense (and therefore, the HP revenue sharing program), you do need a decent body of work. I think it is at least 10 well-written hubs.

The relevant HP article on earnings says 'no page', which is not helpful.

Thanks. One more doubt..now I have 27 featured hubs. I have recently joined HP. The earning in my account is meager ($0.09). I mean to ask, how long it might take (approx)  to get my first payout? Or Once I start getting the payout, is there any chance I will get some payment continuously, even if I can't write articles regularly?

How much money you make with the HP Ad Program depends on how much traffic you get. To give you an idea, on average about a thousand views will give you three dollars.

It takes some time for articles to be indexed in the Google search engine; even then, you don't know where they will place in search engine results. So, much depends on subject matter and keywords in the title of article and text of articles and whether people search for that subject and those titles on the Web; it also depends on whether others have already covered the subject matter thoroughly.

I would say it would take more than 27 articles to start reaching payout. This, of course, depends on how much traffic your articles end up getting. I used to reach payout every month on one of my HP accounts and I only had about 30 articles; but those were articles in which I used keywords in titles that I'd researched. Without that kind of research, you might need to write a hundred or more articles, depending. And even then, it could take quite a bit of time before those articles start getting traffic and earning monthly payouts.

Wow.. It is informative. I got some idea about hub pages earnings. Thanks a lot. But, I don't know how to research the most wanted keywords in the title. How to get some information on this?
