I mentioned in another thread that I have come across some time and wish to start writing again.  I have been writing short science fiction stories that I wish to turn into a book.  Would it be possible to post my short stories here and publish an ebook in the future using those same stories?  This seems like a great way to see what stories people enjoy and to see which ones make the cut into the book.

Also any success stories with writing short stories?

It'd be good to have one or two short stories here and then many more in the ebook. That way, people are not paying for something that they can get online for free.

You could also mention in the article that the short story is part of a larger upcoming book.

In answer to your other question, I have a friend who is finding success with writing short stories. However, she writes erotica which probably makes a difference. There is definitely a market out there for short stories, though.
